Outdoor Fun With Wicked Mania | Review

We were sent a variety of toys for the purpose of review. All thoughts and opinions are our own.

With us currently in lockdown, trying to find new and fun activities can be very difficult. Jack is obviously still doing schoolwork but we are trying to find other stuff to do.

We were recently sent a few items from Wickedmania to review – some outdoor toys that the kids have been putting to good use in our garden now we’ve got a bigger one than we did before. Wickedmania have a fantastic range of indoor and outdoor toys, all at affordable prices, keeping your kids occupied and entertained for hours on end.

We were sent the UKick, the Indoor Booma and the Mega Jump High Performance Jump Rope. So what did we think?

The UKick retails at £8 and fuses elements of badminton and street football. The aim of the toy is to keep it off the ground for as long as you can, using your hands or your feet. You can play alone or with family or friends.

Jack has had great fun playing keepy uppy or throwing it up in the air to see how high he can get it and if he can keep it off the ground without dropping it!

This seems to be Jack’s favourite toy of the three. He can be indoors or outdoors, he’ll sneak off and I hear him playing with it, whooping with joy when he manages to keep it up! Steve has also been playing with it a lot – I can see them getting a lot of use out of this.

So yes, the Indoor Booma Boomerang is technically an indoor toy but Jack and his Dad have been playing with it both indoors and outdoors. Retailing at £6.99, it is super affordable and is made of soft foam so won’t cause any damage – the foam is actually their specially engineered ‘memorang’ foam which can be ‘tuned’ for different flight paths. It will fly 4-6 metres and return to the spot. It is great for indoors but can be played outdoors if it isn’t too windy.

Both kids have been enjoying playing with this, both indoors and outdoors when it isn’t windy. Olivia shrieks with joy every time it comes back to her and you can see the confusion as she can’t work out how it does it! Who doesn’t love a boomerang? The Mega Jump High Performance Jump Rope costs just £8 and is great as you can easily adjust the length to suit each person, thanks to the rope release mechanism. The rope has quality ball-bearing axles to make the spins smooth and comes at a 300cm length to start with.

I’ve never known Jack to enjoy skipping but he has really been enjoying this rope – just look how high he managed to get off the ground! This is a great rope as we can all use it if we wanted (I’m thinking about using it for exercise as I really need to get fit!). This is great for getting the blood pumping and the kids find it super fun too.

We have loved playing with these toys outdoors – they have provided plenty of entertainment and made these long days that little bit more bearable. What outdoor toys have you been playing with recently?

  1. Some great ideas here to get the kids active. Looks like Jack loved them too. Nice to see him having fun with the skipping rope

  2. These look brilliant! We have recently bought stuff for the garden and it’s like we don’t have children! They surface for food 3 times a day but are just living outside. When I watch them play it makes me so happy.

I really like the idea of the UKick, I think we’d have a lot of fun with that.

  3. Look like some fund toys! It’s really difficult to keep the kids occupied during lockdown so these will be really helpful
