As a teenager, I associated Bon Marche with the much older generation and used to tut and moan if my mum and nan dragged me in on one of our shopping trips. Whilst there are still a few items more suitable to the older woman, Bon Marche now also seems to have some fantastic items for women of any age. As I’ve grown up and reached my mid twenties, I actually find myself browsing the Bon Marche website every now and again – in particular the knitwear section – you all know how much I love a good cardigan or jumper.
I was recently sent the David Emanuel Edge To Edge cardigan in orange to try out. Since I spend most of my time at home, I have been wearing it around the house and it feels really comfortable. I chose the next size up as I prefer my cardigans to be oversized – they are more snuggly that way! The real test of quality was wearing it out to an event and seeing how it fared:

I wore the cardigan with a simple black top and some woollen grey leggings to the Atelier event I posted about last week here. I wanted to wear something extra comfy that still looked the part.
I felt really confident in this – I have been feeling a little down recently as I seem to be putting on weight rather than losing it so it was nice to hang out with some friends, meet some fab people and have a great time whilst feeling great. As I mentioned, the cardigan is one size too big as I like mine oversized however it fitted well and wasn’t itchy on bare skin like some knitwear can be. I am definitely thinking about picking up some more in the range.
The cardigan can be found here for £22 – a fantastic price to pay for some quality knitwear.
