I love gifting hampers and receiving them as gifts myself – I think they are such a lovely idea as there’s always plenty of items to go through and you’ll always find something you enjoy.

What Items Did I Receive & What Did I Think?
Altaria Merlot 187ml and Silver Creek Shiraz 187ml
The merlot is rich and intense with aromas and flavours of bramble fruits. Well-rounded, this wine displays a rich velvety texture with a good weight and surprising length.
The shiraz has flavours of plums, blackberries and spice, this Shiraz is enhanced on the palate by vanilla, dark chocolate and spicy pepper tones.
These were both enjoyed by the red wine drinkers in my house!
Farmhouse Biscuits Cranberry & Pumpkin Seed Savoury Biscuits
The seeds in this recipe have been specially selected to compliment the fruity, flavoursome juicy cranberries. A perfect match with a hot and spicy cheese such as fiery jack cheese infused with chillies. We really enjoyed these on their own and also with some cheese.
Mrs Bridges Ploughmans Chutney 230g
A chutney always goes down a treat in my house, especially with cheese! This is described as a very British chutney and they say you should pair it with cheddar on crusty white bread for the ultimate sandwich. This has been done and it is delicious.
Ford Farm Cheddar with Caramelized Onion
Ford Farm’s signature tangy, hand-made farmhouse cheddar is made from milk sourced from local dairy herds then blended with a delicious sweet and tangy confit of caramelised onion. We always love cheeses blended with caramelized onion and this was no different – absolutely delicious.
Ford Farm Wensleydale with Cranberries
I love a Wensleydale with cranberries, don’t you? I especially love it at Christmas time but all throughout the year too! They describe this their own hand made version of the original Yorkshire recipe that is sold fresh & young at only three weeks old. The cheese has a sweet flavour with honeyed undertones and is combined with the sharp, fruity succulence of juicy cranberries. This was so good!
The Cheshire Cheese Company Gourmet Cheese Caramelised Onion and Rioja Cheddar
Described as a completely unique cheese only available from the Cheshire Cheese Company. It blends the finest Spanish Rioja red wine with caramelised onions and their tasty extra mature cheddar. This is packed full of flavour and went down a treat!

What a seriously lovely gift hamper idea! Fantastic inspiration for those who may not get to see family this Christmas! I was totally drawn in by the Wensleydale and Cranberry cheese, my absolute favourite at Christmas! 🙂 Sim x
