Life In A Lockdown {Linky} – Week 26

It is Tuesday again which means it is once again time for our Life In A Lockdown linky! Once again thanks go to Jenni from Lyrical Host for inspiring it and Sarah for creating it and inviting me along for the ride!

It is so simple to get involved. All we ask is that you give both Sarah and I a link back in your post, letting others know where to find the link-up. Then once it is live, all you need to do is pop over to mine or Sarah’s blog and pop your link in the InLinkz at the bottom so we can visit it and leave you a comment!

So what are my answers for this week??

1) How are you feeling/coping?

I am feeling okay, tired at getting back to routine but overall I am feeling pretty good – although I have a slight cold!

2) What have you been up to over the past 7 days?

Not much except work – taking on new clients and even having some previous clients return. Plus we’ve gone for some lovely walks with the dog whilst the kids were at school.

3) What are your priorities at the moment, have you changed what you will / won’t go out for?

I am only going out for school runs, dog walks (aka exercise) and to visit the shops.

4) Have you found anywhere doing a really good job of catering to social distancing?

No, I haven’t been out anywhere like this to make a statement of this.

5) What have you bought this week that others might like? Especially if from a small business.

Not much again – just some bedding for the kids and some Christmas gifts that I’ve hidden away!

6) How has your routine been this week?

Was a little all over the place but we finally seem to be getting back to a decent routine.

7) What have you learnt over lockdown (this doesn’t have to be a skill, it could be about yourself, your family, or something else).

Again, who I can rely on.

8) What have you been grateful for over the past 7 days?

Friends and family especially some of the school mums who I hadn’t seen in months!

Why not check out these posts?

  1. I am glad you are able to get out and about again and back to some kind or normality. I love my dog walks as gives me chance to switch off and clear my head

  2. I love getting outside, I think that’s what this whole situation has reinforced. Escaping, even stupidly early in the morning during the height of lockdown, has really helped me.

  3. It is so awesome that things are picking up with you for work – always good to see new and old people returning to you!

  4. I still go out as little as possible, some people make too many bad choices for the safety of others. We are sort of open here, though not like before, there are still limitations in many places. I don’t know of anyone doing an especially great job of enforcing social distancing as I am not going out other than once a week for essentials.

I think quite a few places are really failing at social distancing. It’s like the supermarkets haven’t a clue and it’s back to normal for the ones I’ve been to other than the trolley cleaning stations at the front. It’s really frustrating to see.

  6. I think this tough time has taught us that we need to appreciate the small things in life & concentrate on the things that make us happy.

  7. The weeks are flying by and I cannot believe we are in October. I think we just need to take a step at a time and be grateful for the little things atm- well that is what I keep saying to keep sane

I can’t believe it is now week 26! It is so crazy isn’t it! I have started getting some Christmas bits too and I am so excited for Christmas even if it might look a bit different his year I am determined to make it special for the kids still! x

  9. I’m also only going out for the school runs, woodland walks and necessary shops. This time has really taught me to appreciate my friends and family.

i enjoyed reading this —starting to struggle with lockdown

  11. It’s great that you’re able to get out a bit more again, and that your work is picking up again. I hope this week continues in the same direction.

  12. I haven’t been going out that much either, just the school runs, family walks and popping to the shop when I need to.
