I am so happy to be able to bring a review of Asha Tarry’s new book ‘Adulting As A Millennial: A Guide to Everything Your Parents Didn’t Teach You’ today – are you a millennial? Then maybe this is a book for you.
About The Book

In her new book, Adulting as a Millennial: A Guide to Everything You Parents Didn’t Teach, author Asha Tarry helps her readers to live a meaningful life. In her work, Tarry has found that many people struggle with negative thoughts about their past, present, and future life. She also notes that they are tolerating lackluster relationships instead of manifesting powerful connections in their lives.
Tarry is an award-winning community mental health advocate, psychotherapist, and certified life coach. While she has faced her own challenges while writing her new book, especially amid the COVID-19 crisis, she made a commitment to sharing her knowledge and resources with the goal of transforming lives.
Tarry wrote Adulting as a Millennial: A Guide to Everything Your Parents Didn’t Teach You with one person in mind – the person her readers are becoming. As a counselor and coach of millennials, she has witnessed the social and emotional challenges that accompany imposter syndrome, anxiety, and insecure relationships.
Tarry’s book is about creating abundance in everything people want to place their focus on. She offers insightful questions to help her readers to activate powerful new thoughts and provides action steps to create a lifestyle of independent action. Tarry also includes anecdotes from transformative situations that changed her own life and hopes to inspire thousands to change theirs.
Tarry says, “My life changed when I decided to change it.” She adds, “I grew tired of the mundane career choices I made, the unsatisfying relationships I stayed in and the limited amount of income I was earning, so I started to do things differently. When I did, incredible things started to happen for me.”

My Review
This is a fairly brief guide to how the author herself finds adulting as a millennial and what lessons you yourself can take from her. We all make mistakes, it is part of the learning and growing process and the author talks about these with personality, letting you know exactly what has happened to her and how she overcame these events.
I am getting more and more into the self-help side of things and this book has been a helpful reminder to push myself further and make changes in order to live the life I want to live. I will definitely be taking her advice on board – not only because she is a life coach so knows what she is talking about – but also because she has lived it too.
If you have read the book, this provides the perfect jumping off point to become inspired. You may even want to write a book of your own, and once you are done, you can look into hardback book printing to display and be proud of your finished work.
If you’re looking for a little reminder of how you can thrive whilst adulting as a millennial, then this book serves as an awesome brief guide to this. Be sure to check it out.

Seems like a needed book considering the amount of millennials struggling. As a Gen X-er I see it in a lot of my friends kids.
Love reads like this, as it really gets you thinking about life in general. I will be adding this on my own must read list xx
Adulting can be hard, the struggle is real haha. I’d definitley like to read this and might add it to my Christmas list.
This sounds like a really great read. I struggle with adulting as a millennial at times, and I think it’s because I had older parents so my upbringing was a LOT different to my friends’. I’m very old-fashioned compared to a lot of people my age!!
