Why We Are Considering A Cruise

Obviously all travel plans have been put on hold due to the current global situation but I will admit that spending a lot of time at home means I’ve been thinking a lot about all the different things I’d like to do once this is all over. I can’t imagine that life will ever truly go back to how it was but I do know I want to travel even more.

“In the past year we’ve visited various places around the UK, Cyprus and France and I’d love to expand my travels a little – perhaps by going on a cruise. Many family members have been on cruises and enjoyed them – my brother always seems to be going on them – and I’ve watched in awe as blogger friends have gone on them too, all around the Caribbean and sometimes even the US! Booking cruises seems to easier than ever too! There are so many destinations and ships to choose from, as well as hundreds of cruise deals all year round, you can find whatever you’re looking for, even with a small budget.”

Now if you’ve been looking at my posts regarding my travel around the UK, you’ll see I visit places that do get some tourists but we generally tend to shy away from the bigger cities and visit lesser known places. Whilst a Caribbean cruise or a Mediterranean cruise sounds absolutely incredible, I’d like to try something a little different and head on a Baltic cruise.

The Baltic states have always intrigued me with their rich history and beautiful architecture and a cruise seems like the perfect way to get to see it all. As well as visiting Russia, you’ll be able to visit Scandinavian cities that you’ve always wanted to visit (much like me!) and really get a feel for what the city is about.

I do love the opportunity to visit loads of different places on one holiday. I haven’t had much of a chance before so a cruise seems like a wonderful way to actually finally do that. I see friends and family visiting so many destinations and posting photos of their excursions and I just wish I could be like them!

I’ve always been fascinated with the Scandinavian countries and cities too as has Steve. We’re trying to get away for a couple of days a year where its just us and this would be the perfect break – especially after these many weeks of lockdown, don’t you think?

Have you ever been on a cruise? How about a Baltic cruise? Have you got any tips for me to ensure we have the best time?

  1. If I was to ever go on a cruise, I would want to do somewhere like the Baltic’s, some friends of mine did one just before Christmas and it looked just amazing x

  2. I’ve never been on a cruise, but see the huge appeal of them. My children are now at the age where I feel that they would enjoy one so something that we would look into doing

I’d love to go on a cruise. Something I’ve always wanted to do but never had the time or money. Nice read

I have been on afew cruises but always seem to spend more time with my head down the loo being sea sick. Done the Norweigan Fjords, and one to Spain very sick, but lost loads of weight, something positive!
