We’re Off To Find A Unicorn | Blog Tour, Review & Giveaway

We received a copy of the book for the purpose of review. All thoughts and opinions are our own.

Today is our stop on the We’re Off To Find A Unicorn blog tour! Be sure to check out the other stops on the tour! Published by Owlet Press, the book is by Eloise White and is a debut for BAME greetings card illustrator Cory Reid.

It spreads the message about the magic of endangered wildlife and follows a mixed race family at the centre of the plot. Little Owlets will be able to enjoy the ‘find the unicorn’ activity on every page. You may have guessed that it is loosely inspired by We’re Going On A Bear Hunt and this book is the first in a three book series.

Olivia loves unicorns and loves books so when Owlet Press asked if we would like to review a copy, I had to say yes. She’s at the age where she is really getting into books properly and even if I am not sitting reading them to her, she may sit there and pore over the pictures.

The book has been great – the cover is beautiful and bright and really captures the attention. The illustrations within the book are also beautifully colourful.

There are unicorns hiding on the pages which is exciting as we kept trying to find them – we didn’t realise straight away that the unicorn was with them on every page so it was so exciting when we finally did. As well as looking for unicorns, we have also learned about endangered wildlife – an important issue that I am glad that the author and illustrator covered.

The book had short sentences and catchy verse that really captured the attention and kept Olivia’s attention. The illustrations within are ever so beautiful and well illustrated.

Olivia really enjoyed the book and I, as her parent, love that she found so much enjoyment from it whilst also learning about new things such as endangered species. This is a great book and another fab publication from Owlet Press.
