What is your favourite hair care tip?

My favourite hair care tip is to not overwash it. I wash my hair every other day usually and dry shampoo is really useful!
There is no need to wash your hair everyday is my best tip.
Conditioner should go on the hair ( mid to tips) not on roots or scalp. A wide toothed comb is good for distributing it over the hair
My hair usually gives me no trouble but recently I’ve been getting fly-aways and frizz. I’ve been using a couple of pumps of an argan-oil based smoothing oil and it really helped tame it, the results last between washes and it doesn’t weigh the hair down. Always good to find something that works and also smells nice.
my favourite tip is to wash your hair conditioner off with a cool or cold rinse to help the hair shine
Use an intensive moisturiser treatment on your hair at least once a month to maintain healthy condition.
I only use conditioner to wash my hair and only use products that are natural and free from ‘nasties’. My hair is so much softer and in better condition.
talc can be used as a dry shampoo
My hair tip is always shampoo twice to really cleanse the scalp and only apply conditioner to the ends.
Be kind to your hair – use products that are not packed with harsh chemicals and keep heat styling to a minimum
My favourite hair care tip is to not wash it for at least 3 days and stop fighting your curls
sea salt spray for taming frizz/waves on damp hair
Probably not washing it every day as it strips it of its natural oils.
Use natural products that won’t dry out and strip your hair
I use regular conditioner as a deep clean mask, I just leave it on for 10 mins with a warm towel on and it does just as good a job for a fraction of the cost!
Regular hair brushing, at least twice daily.
Wash hair less and use a leave in conditioner to keep the ends moisturised
Keeping it trimmed on a regular basis is a must for me
Wash hair every few days rather than daily & avoid brushing very curly hair
Rinse with cold water, and it makes your hair extra shiny!
Make the last rinse a cold one and try to have a couple of days where you let your hair dry naturally and don’t use any heat appliances.
Use a ribbon style hair tie rather than elastic as it prevents breakage.
Try to let your hair dry naturally some days.
Don’t blow-dry it immediately after washing – you can leave it until nearly dry and get the same result with far less heat damage
Use coconut oil as an overnight treatment for dry ends, it really helps!
I only wash my hair every other day otherwise it gets to dry
Seems pretty simple but always use conditioner, and try to find one that suits your hair best although I love to use ones for dyed hair as mine is really dry and it works perfectly especially for someone with ridiculously static hair lol
My tip is to be sure to style it when wet to avoid a mess!!
dry shampoo all the way
Wash your hair in lukewarm water. Hot water stimulates the follicles so it gets greasy faster and doesn’t wash as well.
Sleep on a silk pillow case as it will keep your hair smoother.
don’t use too many or too much product as this can weigh your hair down
My number one hair care tip is to use hair masques and conditioning treatments weekly but only wash your hair as little as possible, I find washing strips my hair of its natural oils and makes it unmanageable and lank.
Apply conditioner to wet hair. Leave for a few mins then shampoo…..not the other way round!
My tip relates to drying hair. It’s better to dry slowly rather than blast it with heat because this will avoid frizz and help to set the style in place
I have always washed my hair every other day. It seems to have stayed in good nick
If you have time let your hair dry naturally as it is so much better for your hair than using heat on it x
Extra virgin raw coconut oil!! My hair absolutely loves it, but you have to be very careful in only using a tiny amount or you go straight from oiled to oily!!
My hair is quite dry and frizzy so my tip would be to deep condition once a week
You don’t have to wash your hair everyday
dont dry of using a towel The better option is to squeeze out excess water and then dry
I just condition the tips of my hair, works for me as I have flat hair.
use dry shampoo and don’t overwash your hair!
Avoid using heat on hair as much as possible, and stick to natural products as much as possible.
my tip is try not to over style – leave it natural once in a while
Other than not using too much heat I don’t have any tips so I’ll be reading all the comments and trying to learn some new ones!
Avoid hairdryers, straighteners etc. I air dry my hair and only use a hairdryer or straighteners a couple of times a year.
My hair is very unruly – it often looks like I’m an alpaca that has been electrified. I find using a conditioner just on the tips and mid works well to make it look less electrocution and more defined curls 🙂
Try to use a hair dryer only if really necessary, as the heat is not good for your hair. Do not rub your hair dry with a normal bath or hand towel. Get one of the quick dry hair towel “turbans”, they are typically made of fast drying material, and your hair will be dry very fast.
