We have quite a few smart devices in our house and have recently been talking about utilising more smart devices and have a smart home. There are plenty of items now on the market that are compatible with smart homes and we have been looking into the different things that you can get.
We have previously tried out some smart lighting but weren’t that impressed however we have recently come across some interesting lighting from LED Bulbs. They have a SMART LED Pendant light that I am absolutely desperate to have in our home somewhere.
You may have seen from recent posts that we are having to move – and very soon – so I have been reluctant to buy any new things for our home until we know where we are going to be.
However I am sorely tempted to give this a try as it doesn’t require a hub, you just plug it in play via the WiZ app plus it is super affordable. It is also compatible with all of these: Alexa, Google Assistant, Apple Siri, Samsung Smartthings, IFTTT. It is usually quite difficult to find smart devices or appliances that are compatible with that many different things so I am really impressed by this.

One thing that really buys me about lighting is how quickly they can die and how slowly some of them take to come to full light. This fantastic lighting option offers warm white to cool white, 2000K to 4500K and 400 to 720 lumens. It also has a fantastic life span with an LED lifetime of 15,000 hours plus it is fully dimmable!
The products also work straight out of the box with no annoying blinking before you pair them and with an incredibly fast setup.
I would love to be able to control our lighting remotely and since we have a range of devices with different assistants on them, it’s good that we would be able to control the lighting from any of them. The fact that you can dim them and choose the right shade for your situation is fantastic too.
I totally believe we are moving towards more and more homes becoming smart homes and I think it is important to move with the times. I am always looking for things that will make my life easier and lighting such as this certainly would. Everyone in my home seems to like different levels of light but that either means the light is on or off. No in between. Being able to dim the lights if needed and to choose between shades would be ever so helpful – especially when it comes to getting a four year old to sleep who hates sleeping and hates the dark (she’s fine once she is asleep but it’s the getting to sleep part that’s the problem!).
I will definitely be investing in some smart lighting when we finally move home and I think I will definitely have to pick up a few of these pendant lights. They look great, they are affordable and they’re smart – what could be better?
Do you have any smart lighting options?

I would love a smart light and this one sounds so easy, I have to admit I usually leave all the technical stuff to my husband to sort out as I am a nightmare. I will have to look into these further
I’ve seen more and more pendant style lights in home. They are really popular these days and look great! I love that it is dimmable that’s a great feature.
We have smart lights around the house and garden, they are so easy to set up and use.
We have quite a lot of smart bulbs so we can control them with Alexa, but this one sounds really good x
I’d love a smart light in our home , they look really fancy but elegant at the same time .
I have a friend who has installed smart lighting and she swears by it. I have yet to have any installed in mine but the pendant light, looks like a great option to start with
