Regatta Dare2b Children’s Jackets | Review

Collaborative Post

You may recall I review some walking boots from Regatta a few months back. Well recently they got in contact with me once more and asked if I would be interested in reviewing some of their children’s jackets.

With the new school year approaching, I of course said yes and the kids have now been using their jackets for a couple of weeks so I feel able to give my thoughts on them.

I was able to pick one for Jack and one for Olivia so I’ll talk about them both separately so you can find out a little more about them.

Kids’ In The Lead II Hooded Jacket Duchess in Pink Berry Pink

Olivia opted for this jacket in a lovely bright pink colour. We chose to size up for her as she’s almost 5 so 5-6 seemed like the best option for her. It fits well and has proved perfect for her days at school.

We have been caught short in the rain a couple of times but the waterproof element stands up to it. The jacket is also quite light which means that she doesn’t get too hot when it is sunny. I love the pink and black panelled design of the jacket and I really like the hood actually fits well. So many times the kids have had coats where the hoods fly off at the slightest bit of wind or fall off with the slightest bit of movement.

Overall it is a lightweight but fantastic jacket and perfect for what we need it for. Plus it is affordable too!

Kids In The Lead II Waterproof Jacket Petrol Blue Methyl Blue

When it came to choosing Jack’s jacket, he fell in love with the colour of this jacket instantly. It is a striking blue and looks great on. Usually retailing at £70, it is currently on sale and is definitely worth picking up. We again opted to size up, choosing to get 11-12 for Jack despite the fact he is only nearly 10. He is quite tall and long limbed so we find that sometimes he falls to the upper scale of his age range.

The jacket is a versatile mountain jacket with soft stretch fabric. It is waterproof and breathable which makes it perfect for all types of weather. Again I love the panelled design of the blue and the black and I love that the jacket has some zipped lower pockets and adjustable cuffs.

If you choose this jacket for ages 7 and up, it comes with an adjustable shockcord hem and an internal zip pocket including a headphone port which I think is fantastic.

Something I think that is brilliant about this jacket is that it also has reflective details which is great for enhanced visibility and safety. This isn’t something you would necessarily think about in a jacket but is a great feature to have on one.

Overall I am very impressed by the quality of the Dare2b jackets available at Regatta. They are good quality, affordable and come with some great features as well as being perfect for all year round, no matter the weather. I will definitely be buying more coats from there in the future.
