Getting Outside With Regatta This Winter

We were sent a variety of items from Regatta for the purpose of this post.

It is no secret that we love getting out and about. Pre-pandemic, we were always going on days out and we were always taking trips away where we actually did something – like Cheddar Gorge and Jacob’s Ladder in Cheddar, various attractions in Blackpool and a variety of places in Hull. We were actually planning on doing a hiking trail in Yorkshire this year but that has had to be delayed until next year.

Now we have a dog, we are still going out on a lot of walks but obviously staying closer to home. We are lucky enough to live in a beautiful part of the country and surrounded by lovely green spaces, forests and trails.

With some dog products from Regatta such as this reflective dog harness and travel water bottle, we are ready for anything! We will be keeping the harness for the future as it is slightly too big for Buddy at the moment but he will grow into it pretty quickly – we opted for a large as a medium would be outgrown very quickly.

As you can imagine, walking outside in the winter can be very muddy and very messy. So we need some good walking boots and wellies too! We’ve been meaning to pick up some good quality walking boots recently and had been doing the research to find out what would we best. Regatta happened to get in touch just at the right time and we picked a few different boots – wellies for Steve and walking boots for myself and Jack. Olivia’s feet grow so quickly so she’s been utilising an old pair of Jack’s wellies recently!

We have been walking a lot with the dog recently and getting a lot of good use out of the boots. It is so nice to have some boots that are for walking outside and not have to constantly clean off my trainers or other boots every time I get in. The same goes for the kids and Steve – it is nice to have some specific shoes just for this and it means we are much more likely to want to go out for longer walks.

We’ve recently been taking long walks up this local bridleway called The Nickey Line which can get very muddy! It is miles and miles long and we love to take long walks down there, perhaps 45 minutes or so there and then walking back. The shoes are standing the test of time, they’re durable, good quality and they are very easy to clean too which is a big plus point.

Buddy has been enjoying the walks too. It is great to spend time together and when he gets thirsty, he can stop and just take a drink from his water bottle!

I’m very impressed with the quality of products from Regatta, especially the dog products! I’ve already spotted a few things I am keen to pick up for Buddy for our next few walks!

Do you own any Regatta products? Do you like getting outdoors? Don’t forget to check out Claire’s review too!
