We were sent this Christmas hamper for the purpose of review. All thoughts and opinions are our own.
When it comes to Christmas, we all love being a little more indulgent, right? Our shopping trolleys get filled with treats that we can’t get at other times of year and we prepare for parties and dinners with friends and families. Something that I’ve noticed are becoming more popular at this time of year are Christmas hampers. These make wonderful gifts – whether they’re packed full of food and drink or other gift ideas.
Prestige have a fantastic selection of Christmas hampers and very kindly sent us one to review. I’ve always wanted a Christmas hamper and have dropped many hints to Steve and entered many competitions to get one but no luck; so I am very thankful to Prestige for this opportunity.
We received a Best of British hamper, retailing at £74.99 but currently at time of publication, selling for £69.99 on the site. First and foremost, let me tell you how beautiful the case is. I love that the hamper has a Union Jack design, really keeping to the Best of British theme. It is a sturdy and good quality case with a lovely wooden Prestige Hampers tag (which I thought was a lovely touch). The handle is durable and I can see this case being reused once all the items inside have been used up. It opens up by flicking the clasps.
I was very pleased to see the selection of products inside, all traditional and gourmet food and drink items. But what exactly is included in the Best of British hamper? The hamper includes a bottle of Shiraz to be enjoyed over Christmas lunch and much more – so let’s see what we got!
First up is a box of Walkers milk, white and dark chocolate classics. I love a box of chocolates, me, and so I was very happy to see these included. I am saving these for a night Steve is out and the kids are in bed so I can fully get to enjoy them.
Next up is a box of English Breakfast organic teabags from English TeaShop. I love a good cup of tea although I don’t drink it too much at home – but I always have people round who do. And would it really be a Best of British box if it didn’t feature some tea?
The Belvoir mulled punch is also a welcome addition – I don’t admit this too often but I am not the biggest fan of mulled wine and much prefer non alcoholic punches such as this if they’re on offer. This will surely go down a treat this Christmas.
There’s also some Reids handmade smoked oatcakes – I don’t usually like oatcakes but they are definitely inherently British. I am passing these along to my Grandad as he loves things like this.
These Farmhouse Biscuits Red Velvet Crunch Butter Biscuits really caught my attention. We love red velvet cake in our house but have never had red velvet biscuits. What a wonderful inclusion!
We eat a lot of crisps, especially during the festive season when some come out that you cannot get at other times of year. These Yorkshire Crisps in tomato, basil and mozzarella flavour sound like the perfect accompaniment to some festive get togethers this holiday season.
Now if there is something my family could live off, it would be preserves and Steve loves this time of year for all the different festive themed ones you can get. This Mackays Christmas Marmalade with cranberries and the Christmas Preserve with mulled wine are sure to be finished quick sharp.
This Beech’s dark chocolate bar has such beautiful packaging and will be perfect for a late night bit of indulgence.
Doesn’t shortbread scream Christmas to you? I know you can get shortbread all year round but it seems like it is so much more abundance at this time of year. The kids love shortbread and absolutely love these festive shapes.
This iced slab fruit cake with gold star is perfect for Christmas and will go down a treat!
Finally, what is Christmas without mince pies? Jack doesn’t like mince pies but Olivia does so this means there is the perfect number for one each!
Overall, I am very impressed with the quality and the price of the Christmas hampers available at Prestige hampers. The products are all great quality, luxury and delicious and I love that they really warm to the theme – the suitcase will be reused for sure.

Wow the hamper looks amazing. Adore the rustic union jack case and all of those British goodies inside look brilliant. Never bought a Prestige hamper before but know a few relatives who’d love one so much Christmas shopping for them is sorted.
