I said recently that I wanted to get back to writing more – publishing more of my writing on this blog and talking more about the writing process. With that in mind, I thought it was high time I shared with you what’s going on with me, writing wise.
Blogs
You probably all know by now that I run this blog as well as my personal finance blog, Keene On Saving. I also have a collaborative effort with Sarah from Life In A Break Down called UK Lifestyle Hub, a hub of all things lifestyle if you hadn’t guessed and also contribute occasionally to the UK Bloggers site.
I must be a little bit crazy but I’ve got a new project and whilst it is live currently, I am not actually properly launching it until January. I’m spending some time creating content for it, optimising it for SEO and building up my domain authority but I can’t wait to share it with you in 2020!
Freelance Writing
This side of things has been fairly quiet recently although I have been taking on some bulk orders of ghost written content. I have a few clients who come to me every now and again needing content on a certain topic but they either haven’t got the time to do it or don’t know enough about it. This is where I come in, creating the content that they need.
I’m hoping to get some more work leading up to Christmas but as this is already a very busy time of year for me, we shall see how much I can manage!
Personal Writing
Now for the exciting news. As I said, I’m hoping to share more of my writing with you on this blog but I had a thought recently. I keep thinking about my novel and finishing it off and putting it out there for the world – but I have a steady stream of poetry, both on this blog and tucked away on my laptop, that could easily be put together as a poetry book. I’ve reviewed poetry books on the blog before – First Rhyme Mom and I’ve reviewed some on my as now defunct book blog from a fellow blogger.
Much of my poetry is my thoughts as a mother, the love you feel as a parent versus the loss of identity, and I’d love to collate them all into one place so I’m hoping to compile a poetry book with my current work and some new poetry and perhaps format it and put it up on Amazon. It’s all very exciting but very daunting so wish me luck!
If you’re a writer, I’d love to hear how you’re getting on with writing recently. Let me know in the comments below.

Woohoo you should totally do the poems that would be amazing I bet they are fab. I am awful at poetry just can’t do it, tried and it drove me crazy lol.
The poetry books sounds so exciting, go for it! I only really write for my blog but I do enjoy it.
You should certainly out this dream into action. Publishing your own novel and poems would be such an amazing thing to do
