We love getting out and about when the sun is blaring down. However, for many of us right now, we are restricted to our gardens and our daily exercise. Whilst we can now have unlimited daily exercise, I thought I’d share some fun outdoor activities you can try in the garden with your kids this summer. I will also talk a little more about some fun products you can pick up to help you with these activities.

Scavenger Hunt
We love doing these, especially nature scavenger hunts where I get the kids to find specific things in the garden. They love looking for them and seeing who can get the most items in the time I give them. Sometimes I find them even picking up stuff around the garden even when I haven’t set them a scavenger hunt!
Get Pretend Cooking
Why not get the kids pretend cooking? A wooden kitchen makes a great addition to any home and garden with kids and the kids will spend hours playing with it!
Get The Paddling Pool Out
Who doesn’t love the paddling pool on a hot day? We’ve been using ours a lot whilst the weather has been warmer and I love it as I can watch them from a distance, sitting at the outdoor table, reading a book and enjoying my tipple of choice! If you are finding it hard to choose the perfect pool, Globo Surf have some fantastic suggestions!

Have A Water Fight
Following on from jumping in the paddling pool, who doesn’t love a water fight? We’ve had a few these past few weeks, thanks to the X-Shot Water Warfare Micro Fast-Fill Water Blaster (which retails at £10 and allows you to refill your blaster in in just one second) and the -Shot Water Warfare Fast-Fill Water Blaster (which retails at £12.99 and also allows you to refill your blaster in just one second but also shoots 30ft!).
But what other ways can you have water fights? That’s right…WATER BALLOONS! There are so many different activities you can do with them – check out these fun at home activities for kids that you can do with Bunch O Balloons! We’ve been trying out a few ourselves such as BOB Tag and Parents Vs Kids.
We were kindly sent some items from the Bunch O Balloons range – the Bunch O Balloons Water Filler/Soaker which retails at £12.99 and 3 Bunch O Balloons 100 Rapid Filling Self Sealing Water Balloons (3 Pack) which retail at £9.99! What is better than tying 100 water balloons in less than 60 seconds with these sensational self-tying water balloons! They have innovative O-Ring technology and Rapid Fill capabilities so you don’t need to fill individual water balloons. All you need to do is connect to a tap or hose and make hundreds without any hand tying!
Even better the water balloons are 100% recyclable and they have an absolutely fantastic Terracycle partnership in place to recycle them after use. We’ve been having plenty of water fights and the kids – and the adults – have had so much fun! We’ve even been making picking up the bits up afterwards into a game – getting them all together ready to recycle as the kids know how important recycling is.

Sound fun? You can pick some up for yourself at Smyths, The Entertainer and Argos.
Make A Fairy Garden
We are yet to do this ourselves but it definitely sounds like such a lot of fun! You can use old rocks, twigs and toys to make it and the kids love it, really bringing their imagination to life.
Growing Your Own
Finally, a fun activity which I’ve seen plenty of Jack’s friends doing and that he himself has been doing is growing your own – whether that is flowers or food. Jack currently has pumpkins, peas and more growing whereas I know a few of his friends have got sunflowers. It’s a great garden activity and also teaches them to care for something and look after it to help it grow.
What fun garden activities do you enjoy?
