My Travel Hopes For 2021

Collaborative Post

With travel having mostly been put on hold this year, I bet many of us can’t wait until the time we can step on a plane again and visit different shores. I know that we have been talking about the different places we are keen to visit once this is all over. Both Steve and I have a few destinations in mind – some which are our own personal choices, some which are destinations we’d both like to visit and always have done.

Something that has cropped up in conversation is the desire to visit places we may not have thought of before. Sure, we want to head back to Disneyland with the kids to experience the new things they are opening up and of course we want to visit Canada and Australia because of our heritage but other places have cropped up on our travel bucket lists that weren’t necessarily there before. It is amazing how things such as this can change your outlook on things.

One of the countries I am really keen to visit is India – I never considered it before as a holiday destination but I know many people who visit annually, especially visiting Goa. The photos look incredible and the experience seems wonderful and it truly does seem like an amazing place to visit. I’d probably take a Mumbai Goa flight so I can experience what the capital has to offer before heading to Goa and taking in its sights and surroundings.

I have heard that Goa has a real laid back vibe and that is exactly what I want from a holiday when we want to go travelling again. I need a destination that is calm, collected and beautiful but that can also bring the energy if I want it to and I hear Goa is the place for that. You can party the night away or chill out on the beach, eat some delicious seafood or just read a book on the sand. That is exactly what I need – and probably what we all need – after the last few months.

I love the fact that it offers unique experiences too – where else would you visit a spice farm such as the Sahakari Spice Farm and get to learn all about the countries most cherished spices and perhaps even taste test some of them? This sounds like absolute bliss to me as I love my spices – I use different spices in pretty much every dish I cook!

A Mumbai Goa flight takes around an hour so I’d have a great time checking out the capital city before chilling out whilst travelling out to Goa. I love that it is so close to the capital of the country yet seems so far apart. It makes for a really fun travel experience and provides everything you could need from a holiday.

This is just one of the destinations I am keen to visit once we can travel freely again – do you have any destinations you want to tick off of your bucket list?

This looks lovely but I don’t want to go abroad . I want to just go to Robin Hoods Bay on the North Yorkshire Coast where I have lots of childhood memories. It is beautiful but not been able to go for quite a few years . I hope you get to yours and have a wonderful time

  2. Oh wow, I think Goa would be amazing to visit. Top of my hit list at the moment is Almaty in Kazaksthan. Mich x
