I love personalised items – how about you?
I’ve had a few personalised items in my time including things with the kids birth dates on and I’ve always really liked them. I was recently contacted by Engravers Guild, asking if I would like to review one of their Initial & Date Personalised Necklaces, retailing at £32.50. I loved the look of them and had to say yes – but then wondered what to get on it.
I was tempted to get the kids initials and birthdates engraved but then realised that if we had more children, I’d have to get another with everyone’s. I was trying to think of a day that will always mean so much to me and finally hit upon the jackpot – my Dad’s birthdate. I miss him terribly and this way, it feels like he’s that little bit closer to me.
The necklace arrives in a gorgeous gift box inside a company named cardboard box – the care and attention that goes into the packaging truly is second to none. I couldn’t wait to see what my personalised necklace looked like!
I chose to get my necklace in silver and engraved in Sans Serif as that was the font that looked best when I was testing it out. I love that you can use the tool on the website to look through the fonts and see what they would like before committing to one. I spent ages trying to work out what would work best before finally opting for the Sans Serif font.
The necklace itself is fairly dainty – the disc is very light and thin, it is quite wonderful and intriguing to see how they’ve managed to engrave the personalisation onto such a tiny thin disc! The chain itself is long and thing, it is also quite delicate too.
The engraving is absolutely second to none – the personalisation is crystal clear and looks great. I got my Dad’s first initial and his birthdate and Engravers Guild got it absolutely spot on! I really love how great it looks with the crystal clear font and the delicate feel of the necklace.
The solid silver chain has an adjustable length of either 16 or 18 inches. The pendant measures 15mm in diameter.
As you can see, the necklace is absolutely beautiful and makes a wonderful addition to my jewellery collection. I have been wearing it quite a bit although I am going to try to keep it for special occasions as I don’t want to damage it or lose it – it is too special a piece to do so!
You can get your own personalised initial and date necklace from Engravers Guild in gold, silver or rose gold and they all look great. Choose the type you want, the font and personalisation you need and you will not be disappointed. This would even make a fab Christmas gift for someone!
