Inspired by a few other bloggers, I thought it would be a nice idea to share my top 10 blog posts of 2015. Using Google Analytics, I was able to work out which posts (that weren’t competitions) were the most popular. This also gives me an idea of what content is most popular on a whole and I will be utilising this knowledge going forward.

So what made the cut? There is a real mix of content here – blogging tips, personal posts, gift guides, books and personal finance – I am glad that my favourite posts to write seem to go down so well!
1. WHAT TO DO WHEN YOU LOSE YOUR BLOGGING MOJO

This was by far and away my most popular post in 2015. It seems we have all suffered from a serious loss of mojo over this past year and we wanted to know what would help bring our motivation back. I really enjoyed writing this post and I am considering writing more blogging posts in the future as they always seem to go down well.
This post seemed to resonate with some people. I was constantly getting questions about whether I was pregnant and I was finding it quite hurtful because we were trying and nothing was happening. Even when losing weight, the question would still get asked. Apparently if you don’t snap back to a size 0 straight away, it means you’re pregnant again – or so it would seem the amount of times I have been asked!
3. 30 BEFORE 30

As I failed miserably on my 25 before 25, I thought I had better write a 30 before 30 list and work towards completing that. I’ve only ticked one thing off and have 4 years and 1 month left…do you think I can do it?
This was a quite recent post that I published in the run up to Christmas. I am a big fan of Doctor Who and thought it would be nice to write up a niche gift guide as I know plenty of my readers love Doctor Who too. I was right as this post proved very popular!
5. MY BLOGGER TO WORDPRESS MIGRATION

Another blogging post that proved very popular! I migrated to self hosted WordPress in the summer with the help of my good friend Emma and the blog post I wrote about it seemed to go down well! I wholeheartedly recommend Emma’s services, she’s fab!
6. BRITISH CORNER SHOP – PERFECT FOR BRITISH EXPATS

This is the only review that makes the list and I have a funny feeling I know why. After reviewing this fab box of British food, I sent the link to my sister in law in Tenerife who loves her home comforts – I wonder if she sent the link out? This has been a very popular post nonetheless!
I love a good sale and whilst I had a free trial of Amazon Prime, Amazon just so happened to hold an Amazon Prime Day. I shared my top picks of the items available and what I would recommend you to buy. I know some people took my recommendations too!
8. AUGUST TBR | FINISHING SERIES
I must admit that seeing this post in the top 10 blog posts of 2015 was quite a shock – it wasn’t something I expected to see in the slightest. It seems my TBR posts are quite interesting to my readers and especially this one where I was quite eager to finish quite a lot of books. Side note – I didn’t complete my challenge of reading all of those books in August!
9. 5 WAYS TO MAKE SOME CASH FOR CHRISTMAS

I am not surprised to see a personal finance post creep in at all. I love writing personal finance/money saving posts and I know that people like reading them too – why else would I start up my second blog and make it personal finance focused? This post gave five ways of making some extra cash for Christmas – did you do any of them?
10. 5 BOOKS I THINK EVERYONE SHOULD READ
I love writing about books and I really wanted to share the five books I thought everyone should read so of course, I wrote a post about it. Some are often featured on others lists and some are quite unique to me but all five are worthy of reading at least once. Sure, they may not necessarily be the book for you but you won’t know until you’ve read them, will you?
So these were my top 10 blog posts of 2015. why don’t you take a look and see what makes your list – what posts of yours are on your top 10 blog posts of 2015?

What a great mix of subjects you have covered over the year! Wishing you a happy and prosperous 2016;-)
Thanks for sharing! I am going to have a read of them all now 🙂
Wow what a fantastic mix of topics that made your top posts – awesome!
How do you install google analytics? I have wix stats which tells me the basic stats but google is more detailed which I like. I liked the first post too it was very enthralling.
A great mix of posts here Bex. I remember reading the not pregnant just fat post as that happened to me in the past – in fact in was a back handed compliment as someone sad – when did you have the baby!
I love that you have a great mix of subjects showing up. I know what theme mine takes, I’ll probably blog them this week, you’ve inspired me now. I have no doubt you can complete your 30 before 30 list.
This is such a great idea; you’ve inspired me to write a blog post like this too, before the year is out hopefully 😀
Great range of posts! I loved the Dr Who gift guide, it came in very handy for my Dr Who obsessed other half 🙂
I have had series of encounters with No #1 and i usually deal with it by taking time off to relax so i could be able to grab ideas.
Regarding No #3, I stopped making lists of what-to-do when i found out i couldn’t make it twice. I might give it a try in 2016
What a great mix….I am just about to write my top 10 after seeing this!
Thank you!
All the best for 2016 x
A really varied and interesting set of posts. Great content.
i loved your 25 before 25 and 30 before 30! i mean all your post are great 😀 but these are my fav!
Brilliant mix of posts covering a bit of everything! I love your blog btw 🙂 Kaz x
I am not surprised to find a few book posts within your top ten, have you set a goal on Goodreads for 2016? x
I can understand why those were your top 10. Well done you for writing about such a wide range of topics. To an even more successful 2016 blogging year!
Lovely mix of subjects. I always like a bit of variety.
What a brilliant post idea, I might include something like this in my review post!
Ooh these look like interesting posts; it’s always good to get some inspiration when you’re stuck for ideas! I haven’t installed GA yet on my blog but I’m thinking I should, it would be really interesting to know what the most popular bits are! Happy New Year 🙂
Firstly thank you for linking up! These are pretty much all evergreen posts, which is pretty awesome! I need to have a think about redirecting my blog a bit to get some more content that will be searched for more to help drive traffic, and maybe help ME keep my mojo a bit more active! 😉
Off to go and read some of these. There’s a great mix and certainly a lot that can be expanded for future posts.
All the best for 2016.
What a nice mix of posts! I’m pondering going self-hosted but I’m not entirely sure where to start so blogging help posts are always welcomed with open arms. Happy New Year!
