We were sent some Sambazon Acai packs for the creation of this post.
I was recently tasked with making a Sambazon Immunity bowl for myself. Now I don’t really tend to make those smoothie bowls you see dominating Instagram but I thought I would give it a go. I’m always looking for something new to try for breakfast.
These handy packs can be popped in the freezer and have a few packs inside of each so you can just pull out exactly the amount you need and leave the rest in the freezer. As someone who relies on my freezer, this is great for me!
We were sent these packs of Sambazon to help us create the immunity bowl – so what did I include in mine? Mine isn’t as pretty as all those Instagrammable ones you see and I didn’t want to overload mine too much with stuff as I know I wouldn’t eat it all. I wanted to make sure I was getting my protein, my calcium and my fruit in so here’s mine:
To make my Immunity Bowl you need:
1 Sambazon Original Superfruit Pack or Acai pack
1cup of milk of your choice (I use semi skimmed)
Handful of frozen fruit – I chose redcurrants, blackcurrants, raspberries and blackberries
Sprinkling of cinnamon
For the toppings, I opted for some more berries, some seeds and some pecan nuts for that bit of crunch.
How do you make it? Run your superfruit pack or acai pack until running water to melt it and break up a little, cut the top off and add into the blender with your milk and other ingredients. Blend – the less liquid you use, the thicker it is. Once it is a thick smooth goodness, put in the bowl and top with your chosen toppings.
We never usually use Acai but I can certainly see this being a staple of our smoothies and immunity bowls from now on. Now my bowl may not be as Instagrammable but it is tasty and good for me which is what matters most, right?
