Muck Boot Kids Hasbro Hale Outdoor Boot | Optimus Prime

These boots were sent for the purpose of review. All thoughts and opinions are our own,

If you have a child in full time school like me, you know that you’re often having to provide things for school – an all in one, wellington boots, various recyclable items for arts and crafts. I often opt for cheap wellies when providing for school as they can so easily get lost so they’re also easier to replace – but I find that I keep forgetting to actually get Jack some outdoor boots for use at home (and have actually occasionally borrowed his ones back from school, whoops!).

Having heard of the Muck Boot company, I was interested to hear about their brand new kids Hasbro range. I’m pretty sure we’ve all heard of Hasbro and it was interesting to see what new outdoor boots they had in the range. With both My Little Pony and Transformers boots to choose from, I gave Jack the choice and he opted for the Optimus Prime transformers boots, priced at £49.

The boots came in this fabulous box which can even be coloured in – Jack was very excited when they arrived and spending time colouring this in has really kept him quiet recently! Now onto the boots..

The boots are very bright in colour and the print is really clear. The wrap around sole is designed to give stability, especially for kids who are fast on their feet – which describes Jack to a tee. They are very easy to slip on and off which is so helpful with Jack – I struggle to bend down right now due to my massive baby bump and Jack can sometimes be incredibly lazy when it comes to putting his shoes or boots on!

Jack has been using these a lot recently – we’ve visited the zoo, gone for walks and just generally gone out in them – and they are his first choice of footwear no matter what the weather. Trying to persuade him that he didn’t need to wear them to Nanny and Grandad’s for Christmas dinner was quite a fun experience in itself!

The boots have 4mm CR Flex-Foam, a breathable PK Mesh lining, a self cleaning ribbed outsole (so very handy when your kids can get as mucky as mine) and the wide opening ensures the boots slip on easily.

Would I recommend Muck Boot? Definitely. Whilst the price tag isn’t something I would usually pay for boots, these are definitely worth the money and more. The quality of both the material and the printed design are great – the colours are vibrant and not blurred or rushed. The boots are very durable and the easy slip on is a great feature, especially with children like mine.

I’m already thinking about picking up a pair of the My Little Pony boots for baby girl for the future. If you’d like to take a look at the new Hasbro range, you can see them here. Do you agree that we all need a good pair of boots in our lives?
