Moments That Mattered 2013

There were so many moments that mattered for me in 2013 – whilst some may seem a little silly to other people, they truly mean the world to me.

We started off the year with Jack walking everywhere – after taking some steps at his birthday party in December 2012, 2013 meant that he was soon zooming around to his hearts content. Whilst it was a little sad to not see my little boy crawling anymore, I was so proud at how quickly he picked walking up. He had no fear!

April saw the start of our new lives when Steve finally caught a break after being unemployed for so long and took a job as a security guard. I was so proud of him when he got the job and I am even more proud of him now he has his promotion!

The summer saw a number of things happen – I met some fantastic friends for the first time, I attended Britmums Live, I went to a number of fantastic meetups and Jack went in the sea for the first time – and loved it!

He also had his first proper Mr Whippy ice cream – and got very messy!

The summer also saw me take redundancy from my shop job and become a stay at home mum for a couple of months as I made the transgression to a work at home mum. I wanted to spend some time relaxing with my son and catching up on all the things I had missed out on when at work.

Towards the tail end of 2013, Jack started to learn lots of new things – but my favourite was when I first him say I love you (or as he puts it, dud oo) – I don’t think anything can top that.
