Could This Be The Year?

I have mentioned many times before how myself and Steve definitely plan to have another baby and I even talked about it a little in my When is the right time to have another baby? post and we did decide that we wanted to try again at some point this year – whether that is next month or in December, who knows?

The reason I have been thinking about it more and more over the past couple of weeks is because two of my best friends have had babies in the past fortnight – Michelle had a little boy and Helen a little girl – and unlike my other friends or acquaintances that have children, I am more likely to see them on a regular basis. I have met Joey, Michelle’s son, a couple of times now and Steve met him yesterday for the first time. It was obvious how emotionally ready we are but we know we’re not completely sorted financially so want to try and sort this out as much as possible if we can.

Sometimes, when I am actually having a conversation with Jack, it makes me pine for when he was younger – when he was just my chubby little man and I could pretend he was like Peter Pan, never growing old. Obviously, I love that he is turning into a cheeky little boy but I miss those times when he would cuddle me for hours and not fidget because he wanted his Mr Tumble toy. I miss that part so much and whilst every child grows up, I would love another child if only for those special moments.

It probably sounds really silly but that is the crazy way parenthood makes you feel and I am ready to add to this family. No matter how long it takes or when it happens, it will happen and I can’t wait to share my story with you.

  1. Ah Bex I've got you all broody 😉 Adore my little girl but I need to recover first before thinking about the next!

They do grow up too fast, and when Aidens busy screaming NOOOOOO at me it does make me think back to when he was a little baba… Haha! But I refuse to have another until he's in primary school at least. I love babies and want at least one more, but finances are so tight right now! I also want to enjoy aiden by himself for a wee while longer – I think by primary he'll be Independant enough and understand having a little sibling more.

That, and the thought of two toddlers on the go absolutely terrifies me! 😉 xo

    1. Aha, the thought terrifies me a little too!
