Love Yourself Food Delivery | Review

We were sent one of the diet plans for the purpose of review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

There is a brand new food delivery brand around and I have been fortunate enough to try them out for myself. Love Yourself deliver nutritious and balanced food straight to your door and they use only the finest, freshest, seasonal ingredients with the menus constantly changing so you don’t get bored.

The meals are delivered daily and cooked fresh. All you need to do is reheat in the oven or microwave! There are a variety of different menus to choose from – balanced diet, vegetarian diet, gluten free diet, balanced diet with no fish, office lunch diet, keto diet, performance diet, pescatarian diet, dairy free diet, halal balanced diet and halal balanced diet.

The menus all sync with the MyFitness app so you can keep track of the calories if you so wish. They cost from £21 a day.

I was sent a day’s worth of the balanced diet meals to review. They were delivered at around 9pm the evening before and I couldn’t wait to get stuck in the next day. So what was on the menu?

For breakfast I had the scrambled egg with homemade country style bread. It said to enjoy as it is but I decided to warm it up instead in the microwave. The scrambled egg tasted amazing – with a little bit of basil, salt and pepper, it really was a taste explosion and this kept me suitably full until my morning snack.

The morning snack was a sweetcorn and feta muffin and I really enjoyed this. It was soft and fluffy but ultimately fulfilling and kept me full for hours! I used to make muffins like this all the time as a snack and I had forgotten how much I enjoyed them.

Lunch was absolutely delicious! I was a little baffled as to why the pasta was for lunch not dinner as it was quite a dense meal and I suppose I could have switched them around. However I kept to how they were marked and enjoyed this for lunch – I almost forgot to have my afternoon snack because I was still so full!

This was packed full of flavour and one of the best bologneses I have tried in a long while.

I was intrigued to see a drink as the afternoon snack but this smoothie was absolutely delicious – using mango, pineapple and linseed, this was very summery in flavour but not my favourite part of the day’s meals.

For dinner, it was stated as courgetti, soft ricotta with peas and mint. There was no courgetti in sight however – just courgette – so this must have been a misprint! I found this the most disappointing meal of the lot – it had a little bit of flavour but was pretty bland in comparison to the other meals which were all very flavourful! It did however fill me up.

Overall, I was very impressed. As with all meal delivery services, you will prefer some meals more than others. I really enjoyed my breakfast, morning snack and lunch and found the afternoon snack and dinner pleasant enough.

To order your own box, all you need to do is choose the box you want, it is then freshly cooked and delivered to you. You can heat up your meal, track your diet and reorder for time. I’m definitely considering ordering for both myself and Steve – the food is delicious and the service is super convenient. They deliver within London and select postcodes surrounding the capital city – be sure to check the site to see if they deliver to you.
