Love For The Gym Doesn’t Come Easily

Collaborative Post

The love for the gym is something that you probably don’t have if you’re reading this, but something you most likely really want to have. When you see all of these social media influencers who are so into the gym and their eating, it can be so easy to think that it will just come naturally to you. But if you’re new to the gym, or don’t really have any confidence in it at all, then it’s going to be so hard for you to get truly into it. But there are some excellent ways that we know you can catch that gym bug, and a lot of it starts with your knowledge of what to do in there, and how you treat your body. You’re never going to find that passion for the gym if you’re not giving your body what it needs, because you won’t be seeing any progress to keep you motivated. So, if you take a few minutes to read this article, we should be able to show you how you can finally find that love for the gym.

Fuel Your Body

Your body is definitely something that needs to be fueled right for the gym. If you’re going to the gym and doing some really intense workouts, but you’re not giving your body the right nutrients, your muscle mass is going to waste away, and you’ll feel drained rather than revitalised, like a gym session should make you feel. It all depends on what your goal is, but you should always have a diet high in protein, lower in fats, and a decent amount of carbohydrates. There are so many calculators on the internet that will show you exactly what you need of each for your weight and goal. Some men also struggle to make the gains they want due to genetics. Some of you will naturally produce more testosterone, meaning your workouts are more intense, and so are the gains. A testosterone booster might suit your needs, but you should always explore the power of diet and the correct training regime first. It might also be worth having an appointment with your doctor first to make sure low testosterone levels are the reason.

Do The Right Workouts

Going into the gym and putting in anything less than maximum effort is going to delay any sort of progress. So the right workout all depends on your goal, and as men, most of us have the goal of building muscle. So for this, you need to figure out a muscle split. A lot of people like to do a PPL split. The first day would be exercises pushing a weight, then pulling, then a leg day. There are so many articles on the internet showing different exercises for each day. Using this split means you’ll work all muscle groups, and if you train five days a week, you’d be able to fit in two upper body, which is the main focus for men. Focusing on progressive overload is also important, which is where you increase the weight, even by a little bit, after a two or three rounds of the muscle group split!
