House Tour | Kitchen

I’ve already shared my gym/games room and my study so today I thought I’d share with you my kitchen. I’m not going to bore you all with a ton of cupboards and a ton of appliances but here we go.

It is wonderful having a big kitchen now – we had such a tiny little galley kitchen for so many years that having a large kitchen is still taking some getting used to.

One such thing that I am really enjoying is having the hob and the oven in separate spaces. The hob and microwave are over by the window near the sink and there is plenty of room to cook.

Also by the sink is this fabulous cupboard space, complete with wine rack. I am currently storing various alcohol in here (the ones with raffle tickets are ones I’ve won at local bottle tombolas!), our wine glasses, champagne flutes, Steve’s Star Wars decanter (full of port) that Sarah sent him, bottle openers and cocktail equipment. This is probably my favourite cupboard in the kitchen!

We have plenty of counter space which I love and I’ve got these fab tins up there. We’ve also not got a toaster or kettle out at the moment as we are getting new ones – the microwave is getting a lot of use at the minute, haha! The oven and the grill are large and perfect for our family.

We also have this fantastic breakfast bar which is currently being used as a storage area but will hopefully be clear soon except for those recipe books above and our spice rack! It is currently storing some fruit and the kids Easter eggs but will soon be cleared off.

Now we’ve got plenty of recipe books to use – which one is your favourite from the one above?

  1. Love your kitchen, it’s so homely. Mine is much the same. I have loads of cook books too, I actually have Delia’s Cakes as well and I absolutely love it!

Such a lovely size kitchen! I’d love a cooker like that and I like having the hobs seperate too. Alcohol cupboard is perfect!

  3. Oh it makes me want to get our kitchen redone like yesterday!

A kitchen really is the heart of a home, ours is the most unuseable space I have ever come across but thankfully its a large space so when we get it done it’ll be a great space.

    Enjoy your kitchen x

Know the feeling having a small kitchen. We can’t pass each other as its so narrow

  5. I am loving your house tours, we are lucky we have a large kitchen although my dog seems to lie in there in the way when cooking so makes standing room less.

I love having counter space too. You’ll find that all disappears once you get the toaster and kettle. Love the tins, those are great to save cupboard space.

  7. Oh what a wonderful kitchen! I really loved having an oven which was higher up in our old kitchen, like yours is – it made cooking so much easier for me.

  8. Your tile backsplash is pretty, and makes things look nice and bright. (My kitchen looks dark.) I have a cookbook problem, I have way too many and almost never hesitate to add another to the pile.

  9. I love being nosey and seeing round other peoples houses. You have a very well stocked drinks cupboard and very cool that man of them were won on raffles/ tombolas! Mich x

I’ve heard great things about the lean in 15 books by Joe Wickes, I’m keen to give them a go as I love anything which is quick and easy to make x

  11. Your kitchen looks great. I love how organized it is too. I would like to have a breakfast bar

  12. The size of the kitchen is amazing. I’m very jealous! We have a huge kitchen but I live in a rented place so when I buy a house there is no way I’ll be able to afford something of our current sizes! X

  13. I have always wanted a breakfast bar. Our kitchen is really poorly designed and I would love to re-do it

  14. I miss having a big kitchen, mine’s pretty pokey at the minute. Love your collection of cookbooks.

    Katie xoxo
