Halloween Activity Book | Review & Giveaway

We were sent this product for the purpose of review. This post contains affiliate links.

With Halloween potentially looking very different this year for my kids, I’ve been trying to think of different things we can do to make the day still seem as fun! Trick or treating looks like it is going to be a no go so we’ve been thinking about having a ‘Halloween Hunt’ around the house, much like an Easter Egg hunt but with sweets instead. I’ve also been considering putting up some Halloween decor and also making some Halloween treats. In the run up to the day, we will be doing lots of fun activities too.

With that in mind, we were sent this Halloween Activity Book {affiliate link} review, along with a Halloween t-shirt!

About The Book

This educational activity book celebrates everything kids love about Halloween and helps them to learn Maths and English at the same time.

This book includes:

Word puzzles – word searches, crossword, fill in the letters, word scrambles | Number puzzles – sequences, simple algebra, ciphers, counting
Shapes activities – sizes, reflections, sudoku | Writing prompts with pictures | Colouring | Dot to dot, Mazes, Spot the difference pictures
Fun additional extras e.g. recipes for slime, Halloween jokes and a trivia quiz or two!

It is printed single sided to prevent bleed through and has large 8.5 x 11 pages.

What did we think?

Well you may have seen from recent posts that we have been in self isolation for almost two weeks – it is finally up this weekend – and so that means a lot of sitting around not doing much. An activity book was exactly what Jack needed to take his mind off being stuck at home and away from his friends just after going back to school and this was the perfect tonic.

There are plenty of fun puzzles for kids to do and they aren’t too difficult so good for kids to do but also not too easy so the kids get bored easily.  There are also colouring pages, quizzes and writing prompts which Jack loves – you may have seen how much he loves writing in our review of 101 Story Starters For Kids.

The cover is super fun and colourful and drew Jack and Olivia straight away – I’m sure Olivia would love a similar activity book suited to her age! The illustrations are also super cute!

Jack has really been enjoying doing the different puzzles and pages and still has plenty left to do as Halloween approaches! For £5.99, this is a fantastic activity book for 6-8 year olds and perfect for helping Halloween this year still be just as fun as it usually is.

He also really loves his shirt – you can buy your own here {affiliate link}.

  1. The book looks really fun! I bought loads during the initial lockdown but so many are actually quite complicated, definitely not something you can just let them get on with for 10 minutes.

I don’t know what we’ll do for Halloween yet, two of our neighbouring authorities are in local lockdown so I guess it depends how things are.
