Giant Pass The Pigs | Review & Giveaway

We were sent a Giant Pass The Pigs game for the purpose of review. All thoughts and opinions are our own. This post contains affiliate links.

Do you remember the classic game Pass The Pigs? I know I do – and I think I still have a set somewhere at my Mum’s house. Well now the game has gone supersized with giant inflatable pigs for the garden, house, beach or even the pool. The kids are keen to buy a new paddling pool just to play with these!

Retailing at £14.99, this supersized version {affiliate link} is for ages 4+ and is for 2+ players. The box contains 2 inflatable pigs, a rule book, scorecards, 2 pencils, a carry bag, a deflation rod and vinyl plastic repair seal should your pigs get damaged.

Giant Pass The Pigs

This Giant Pass The Pigs game is an Amazon Choice product with 4.5* and we had to see if it lived up to expectations. Olivia could not have been more thrilled with two inflatable pigs as they are her favourite animal, haha! Even the dog was intrigued and wanted to get involved!

The pigs obviously come in deflated form but they take a mere minute or two to inflate to the size you need.

The aim of the game is to be the first person to 100 points. The How To Play book details what points you get for what position and where you can potentially lose points. I, of course, was chosen as the Swineherd and had to be in charge of the pigs and scoring.

Both my kids are very competitive and so I knew playing Giant Pass The Pigs might get super competitive too. They couldn’t wait to see who got to 100 first and they both kept taking the lead early on before falling behind to the other.

It was really fun to watch them throw them up in the air and see how they landed – sometimes it was a little tricky to work out exactly what position they were in and what points to allocate. Olivia lost all of her points right at the beginning but thankfully she only had one to lose – and they both managed to avoid losing any when they had lots of points!

After some time playing, someone finally got 100 points and won the game – this time round, Jack was successful! Olivia insisted on playing another game straight after as she wanted to win herself!

This Giant Pass The Pigs game is a lot of fun for the whole family and we had great fun playing it. It is super quick to set up and I love that it has a repair kit and a bag to carry or store the pigs when deflated. The kids are hoping to take these to the beach in the summer and perhaps even in the paddling pool. For now, they are going to be having competitive bouts in the garden.

Now if you love garden games as much as I do, you might be happy to hear I have a Giant Pass The Pigs game to giveaway to one of my lucky readers! All you need to do is complete the Gleam widget below, doing as many or as little entries as you like. This giveaway is UK only and ends at 11.59pm on the 2nd of May 2021. Good luck!
