I’ve been struggling a lot with body confidence since Olivia has been born. Before I had Olivia, I had lost a stone and a half in weight and was really starting to feel good about myself. Then Olivia came along – and I love her to pieces, of course – but my confidence is in tatters.
All too often you’ll see me doing the school run in a hoodie and leggings. Whilst this is super comfy, I don’t want to wear these all the time but have been finding it hard to get out of my slump. I recently found out about LOTD, a new up and coming fashion brand from Manchester. They sell lots of women’s clothes and always have a great deal or discount on. They even have a range of delivery prices for you to choose from so you can choose a delivery time and price that suits you.
Now I roughly know what suits me but have been finding it to adjust to my larger frame. I had the chance to pick up some items, courtesy of LOTD to help create this post and opted for their velvet skater dress in black, an oversized hooded knitted cardigan in black, some elasticated side trousers in black and a grey shoulder bag.
Now I know what you are thinking – that’s a lot of black – but I know that black is a colour that suits me. I was in desperate need of some trousers that fit me as I didn’t want to be living in leggings all the time – and who doesn’t need a cardigan at this time of year? I love a skater dress as I find it really flattering and I had to opt for a bag because handbags are life..
Now it has only been a week or so since the products arrived but I am already starting to feel better about myself. I’ve had multiple compliments on my choice in bag and my trouser choice also went down well – even family mentioned that it was nice to see me out of leggings for a change. The cardigan is super soft and snuggly, everything you expect a cardigan to be and the dress is just the right outfit for the Christmas party season – parties that I was dreading going to as I felt so rubbish about myself.
With the help of LOTD and their wonderful clothing range and going into my SW class with a determined mindset this coming Tuesday, I’m hoping my body confidence will come back screaming – after all, it has been hidden away for too long.
I was sent some of the LOTD range for the purpose of creating this post.
