We were recently sent the October Degustabox. We love receiving our monthly boxes as it is always such a surprise to see what is included. So what did we receive this time around and what did we think?

Hershey’s Cookies ‘n’ Creme – £1

I am not a fan of Hershey’s so Steve was quick to claim this for himself and quickly snaffled it all up – he loves American candy and chocolate so it is no surprise he ate this all up!

Pitch Choco Bar – £1.40

These brioches filled with a mini bar of milk chocolate were a great afternoon treat for us all once Jack came home from school. We will definitely be buying these again as we all loved them!

Heinz Kids Pasta Sauce – £1.55

Designed as a partner to the pasta shapes, I had seen both products around and was going to pick them up so was happy to receive them in my box. Unfortunately Jack didn’t really like the sauce and after trying it myself, I wasn’t too keen either. We’re big Heinz fans in this household so it was a bit of a disappointment.

Heinz Kids Dry Pasta Shapes – £1.19

The pasta however went down a treat! Jack loved having minion shaped pasta and asked for it for dinner every night for ages – don’t worry, we didn’t give him pasta every night but his eagerness sure shows how much he liked it!

Beloved Date Fruit Hearts – 75p each

We received a variety of these to try. So far we have tried the cocoa berry and the rich cocoa and both were lovely – they’re great for a quick snack.

Yushoi Snapea Rice Sticks – £1.99

I’ve actually tried Yushoi before so knew I liked these. Steve isn’t keen but Jack and I love these and often pick them up in the shops.

Maggi Fusion Noodles – £1.39 each

We were sent the Fiery Sweet Chilli and the Aromatic Spiced Curry. I haven’t tried these yet but they look super tasty!

Jim Jam’s 83% Less Sugar Milk Chocolate Spread – £2.59

We’ve tried Jim Jam’s chocolate spread before so were all very happy to see this included in the box. It has been great for fending off those chocolate cravings of an evening!

IAM Souper soup – £1.49 each

We were sent the Pulled Pork & Jalapenos and the Supergreens.  I have been a bit of a soup fiend this pregnancy but haven’t yet got around to trying these – I can’t wait though!

Robinsons Squash’d Orange – £2.49

Probably our most favourite item in the whole box as it is just so great for the whole family. We actually took this on holiday with us and it certainly saved a lot of space – not having to buy big bottles of squash is great! Will definitely pick these up again!

Levi Roots Smokey BBQ Coat ‘n’ Cook – £1

We love the Levi Roots marinades so this was used the day the box turned up. It was super tasty just as we expected and we’ll definitely pick up more.

So what did I think of this months box? I was very impressed. For once, the focus didn’t seem to be on drinks with only the Robinsons Squash’d making an appearance. I liked the fact that we got to trial some new things like the high protein supers, the date fruit hearts and the kids pasta and sauce. Its nice to see some different brands and products being showcased.

What would your favourite item have been from the box?
