Food & Drink, Reviews

Degustabox | January 2022

I was sent a Degustabox for the purpose of review. All thoughts and opinions are our own.

Don’t forget you can get your first box for just £7.99 including shipping with the code WDGX9 which gets you a £5 discount on the £12.99 price! Buy it here.

The theme of this month’s box is Breakfast, On The Go & Kick Start The New Year . So what did we think?

Dr Will’s All Natural Tomato Ketchup – £3.50

We generally tend to stick with Heinz ketchup but have given this a go and we actually really enjoyed it! It is sweetened naturally and is packed full of ingredients! It is packed full of flavour! I will definitely get some more of this!

Get More Vits Vitamin B12 Drink – £1.50

We have tried some of these before and this was quite nice. I am not usually a fan of pink grapefruit flavour, I find it too bitter. But this was pleasantly surprising and I love that it is sugar free too! It contains plenty of Vitamin B12 so you can get your daily dose. I am not too sure I would go out of my way to buy it but it’s pleasant enough.

Quinola Corn, Pulses and Quinoa Crackers – £1.75

I haven’t yet tried these – I know I will be the only one giving these a go in my house though! They contain just 22 calories per cracker and are a source of protein and fibre. They are also gluten free. I will probably have these for my lunch though!

Linwoods Health Foods Cold Milled Flaxseed – £1.99 for 80g

We don’t buy or use flaxseed in our house so we will be passing this onto a friend who uses it regularly. This contains plenty of protein, fibre and Omega-3.

Nine Bar Dark Choc and Orange – 99p

I have tried Nine bars in the past – they are an alright snack but they aren’t something I buy regularly. This has plenty of nutritional seeds in it and also is vegan and gluten free. These make great snacks for lunchboxes!

Prodigy Roasted Hazelnut Chocolate Bar – £1.75

I really enjoyed this! I had never tried the brand before and the claim on the packaging is true, it definitely has all the taste! I love that it is half the sugar and high fibre too. It is plant based too which is great! I will definitely pick up some more of these!

Mutti Polpa Finely Chopped Tomatoes – £1.30

These are the product of the month and these are fantastic! We always have some chopped tomatoes in the cupboard and these are a brand we love to pick up! These are full of flavour and are great for use in plenty of dishes! I will always pick up more tins of this!

Lee Kum Kee Sachet Sample Box – £4.99

We use a lot of cooking sauces so we really enjoyed this sample box as it gave us the chance to try out some Lee Kum Kee sauces we hadn’t yet tried! We love their sauces so will definitely pick up more.

Califia Farms Oat Barista Blend – £2

We have tried oat milks before but we don’t really get on with them. This means we are unlikely to use this so will be passing it onto someone I know will use it!

Eat Natural Low Sugar Granola – £3

We all eat a lot of cereal and granola so this will be eaten very quickly. It is low in sugar which is great so it makes for a great guilt free breakfast. I can definitely see us buying this again!

Harvest Snaps Sour Cream and Chive Crunchy Lentil Rings – £1.75

These are absolutely delicious! I love snacks such as these and these have a great flavour. They are gluten free, totally vegan and feel like such an indulgent snack but without the guilt!

We also got given a voucher for a Richmond Toad in the Hole meal kit. We love Toad in the Hole so this was a very welcome addition! This makes a midweek meal so much easier!

Overall we were fairly impressed by the box although we won’t use as much from this box as we would others and there are certain bits where only I or another member of the family will use them. The contents add up to well over £20 which means you are getting a great deal!

What item would you most like from the box?

  1. An interesting box, some items are a little eyebrow raising for the theme. I love the Califia Farms Oat Barista Blend, makes great frothy coffee x

  2. I do not think I have seen any of these products before, I do always have to make sure that there is ketchup in the house or C will panic

What a great selection of tasty goodies to try out!

  4. I think once you go natural with ketchup it’s hard to go back. The “regular” stuff is just too sweet now. Seems like a great box though!

  5. Rhian Westbury says:

We actually bought some of those chopped tomatoes from an Italian food market last weekend and we’re going to use them for our pizza bases for dinner tonight x

  6. MELANIE EDJOURIAN says:

It must be fun trying all the different products in each of the boxes. The ketchup sounds like something I’d like to try.

  7. Some lovely and healthy items included in the Degustabox box, i would love to receive this and the price of the box is so reasonable as well
