Myself and Steve don’t have much of an opportunity to spend time alone together. We either have Jack tagging along, Steve is working nights or I am working to a particular deadline and can’t get away from the computer for more than five minutes. It can be a little tough but recently Adnams got in contact with me about trying their Adnams Prosecco in preparation for Valentines Day. What girl doesn’t love prosecco? I said yes and it duly arrived so I plonked it in the fridge, ready for a night where we were both actually available.
I call it a date night but it isn’t really. All we do is stay at home and once Jack has gone to bed, watch some good films or TV, eat some good food (generally home cooked now rather than takeaway) and on occasion, have a drink. Now I have to limit how much I drink on Slimming World due to syn values especially prosecco but with Steve’s birthday and Valentines Day rapidly approaching, I couldn’t resist a quick drink – or two!
I do love a good prosecco and know of Adnams to be a prestigious brand so was intrigued to see just what the Adnams prosecco was like. From the Cheschin family in the Veneto region of Italy, in the heart of the Prosecco region, this tipple is made from the Glera grape and has the aromas of ripe apples and white peaches.
So what did I think?
I have to admit it doesn’t take a lot for a prosecco to impress me, I love the stuff and thoroughly enjoyed this. It tasted great, you could really taste all of the flavours, it was light and pleasant but with just enough of a zing to leave you wanting more. It is a good quality, affordable gift for your Valentine this year – why not pick some up at just £9.99 for a 75cl bottle?
