I was sent some of the books via Aria Fiction/Netgalley for the purpose of review. This post contains affiliate links.
I’m here with yet another reading round-up – with plenty of non fiction again. Here are books 31-35. You can read my other posts here: Books 1-5, Books 6-10, Books 11-15, Books 16-20, Books 21-25 and Books 26-30.
Ten to Zen: Ten Minutes A Day To A Calmer, Happier You by Owen O’Kane – 4/5
I gave this a try as I’d love to be a little calmer, not stress about things as much. This was a fairly quick read and I have definitely taken some of the techniques on board. If you find yourself stressing a lot, perhaps consider giving this read. You can buy the book on Amazon here {affiliate link}.
How To Get Out Of Debt: An Eight-Stage Strategy To Pay Off Debt And Fix Your Finances For Good by Grainne McNamee – 4/5
I’ve followed Grainne over on Instagram for a while and as a personal finance blogger myself over on KOS, I was intrigued by her book. I found it an interesting read – it gave me some ideas about how to clear mine and I liked finding out a little more about the author herself. You can buy the book on Amazon here {affiliate link}.
The Perfect Lie by Karen Osman – 3/5
I was gifted a copy of this novel by Aria Fiction for the purpose of review. This was an interesting read, a revenge is best served cold thriller. The story was well told and kept me reading however I found many of the characters to be unlikable (even the ones I think we were meant to like) and it was quite obvious where the story was going once I’d read the big flashback scene – the introduction to the book made complete sense then. A fab read however I wasn’t as thrilled as I think I should possibly have been. You can buy the book on Amazon here {affiliate link}
What She Found In The Woods by Josephine Angelini – 4/5
I was gifted a copy of this novel by Aria Fiction for the purpose of review. This was a thriller with a difference. I really enjoyed reading this, my first introduction to the author. Magdalena’s back story and why she was staying with her grandparents was explored in depth and I do get the feeling she wasn’t inherently bad and although involved, definitely took the fall for everyone else.
I did have an inkling about a certain character – although the twist soon changed that – only for it to twist again and I was sort of right. The satisfaction you get when you put some of the clues together is always great.
This is unlike any other thriller I have read and I’ll definitely check out more of the author’s work. You can buy the book on Amazon here {affiliate link}
The Total Money Makeover: A Proven Plan for Financial Fitness by Dave Ramsey – 5/5
Having been a part of some UK based Dave Ramsey FB groups for a while and knowing a little about the plan, I thought it was high time I read this book. A lot of it is common sense, some advice doesn’t apply to us or needs to be altered slightly as the book is US-centric but it is definitely all achievable and motivates me to do more to make my finances fully fit. You can buy the book on Amazon here {affiliate link}.
So those are books 31-35 – I’m going away next week and am hoping to get a good couple read before then but plan to read a lot when on holiday! What have you been reading lately?

I love to read. I do enjoy a good thriller so The Perfect Lie and What She Found In The Woods would be right up my alley.
