Helen E Stage Matte Mousse Foundation in ‘Monroe’

I have only ever tried one Helen E product in the past – a freebie eyeliner pencil from their Facebook page which, although very pigmented, wasn’t very impressive in other factors. When Helen mentioned we would have a Helen E product in our goody bag from the latest London meetup, I was interested to see if my thoughts on the brand would change.

This foundation is in the shade Monroe and is for fair skin – perfect for me then. Described as a mousse, the foundation has a soft creamy texture as you can imagine. I swatched a little on my hand (as seen below) and was pretty impressed but obviously had to give it the proper test on my face.
As you can see, the foundation looks barely there and not in the slightest bit orange; which can sometimes happen to me being as pale as I am. The coverage lasts all day and I even got asked what foundation I was wearing and where I could get it – that never happens!

All in all, I am very impressed by this foundation which is good as I had quite a negative viewpoint of the company before. Whilst it may not replace my beloved Ginvera BB Cream or Rimmel Stay Matte in my everyday face makeup, I will definitely be breaking this out more often.

This product retails for £15 from the Helen E website and comes in three shades; Monroe, Loren or Bardot.

My issue with foundations is that I never find a color yellow enough! Hate when I love a product but hate the color range!!
