ELISHA COY SKIN REPAIRING SNAIL CREAM – $42.80/Β£26.78*
I don’t know how many of you have noticed the WUBB review and Wishtrend buttons in my sidebar to the right, but I am proud to announce that I am part of a panel of UK bloggers trying out some fabulous products from the lovely people at Wishtrend, all the way from Korea. My fellow bloggers on the panel are the lovely D from sweetjellybean.com, Laalaa from Dolce Vanity, Grace from All That Slap, Liss from Latino Look and my blogging best bud, Sarah from Life In A Breakdown.
The first product we have been sent to try is the Elisha Coy Skin Repairing Snail Cream*. I bet you are all thinking what I thought when D first approached me. Snail cream? Seriously? I bit the bullet and decided to give it a go…
It is important to note that none of our slimy little friends are getting harmed in anyway to make this cream. It is, in fact, the mucin they leave behind that is collected for the purpose of these kind of products. Wishtrend have a great way of explaining why the mucin is good for us:
Why does mucin in snail slime (filtrate) good for our skin?
When a snail is damaged, the mucin-containing slime comes out of its body and helps heal wounds. Snail mucin is composed of chondroitin that permeates deep into the skin and prevents skin aging, improves skinβs elasticity, controls moisture level and helps skin cell regeneration.
Snail cream is slowly becoming very popular across the world for these very reasons – healing, preventing and improving all sound like great claims to me!
I have been trialling this product everyday since receiving it and I am pleased to announce that I can definitely see some results. I have been bemoaning the state of my skin a lot on Twitter recently and had been on the lookout for a product that would help bring it back to its usual state. Having gone back to work, taking on shifts at my old bar job, housework and of course, looking after Jack, my skin was starting to look a little under the weather.
This cream is quite light and airy, not as thick as some other creams I have tried in the past. The scent is pleasant, not too heady and it sinks into the skin quite well. I will be checking in with another post in a fortnights time to see if I am still as impressed as I am so far.
Have you ever tried any products with mucin in them?

Where are you getting this from? I have been using Arbon for about 2 years and love it. Can you compare?
I get it from Wishtrend. I haven't tried Arbon unfortunately so I can't compare π x
I have used Dr Jart regenerative bb cream and wore it day and night to heal my face. I had to work hard to get past the snail slime bit but the results speak for themself! Xxx Rose
I really want to try Dr Jart!x
Oooh this sounds great! I hope your skin gets all better! π I've found that the more busy & more stressed I am, the worse my skin gets. I break out, & my skin just looks dull. I've found drinking lots of water really helps! π
Thanks lovely x
After all the talk of this on Twitter this was great to read π xo
Thanks hun x
I know its supposed to be amazing but i think it'd take me a while to not cringe putting snail on my skin!
Haha, my partner kept trying to put me off!x
Hi lovely!!!
I have been trying to find this cream all over UK but the prices are crazy (compared to US). Is it not available anymore on Wishtrend. It wouls be great if you could recommend me a reasonable priced website
Hi Alina, I am afraid I haven’t worked with Wishtrend for many years now so unsure if they still stock it. I am afraid I can only find it on Amazon for an extortionate price. I used to work with Wishtrend through Donah at Sweetjellybean.com – I am not sure if she still works with them or is aligned with them but she may have more of an idea of where the product can be sourced. Wishing you the best of luck x
