Boosting blog traffic doesn’t have to be difficult.

There are many different ways to boost your blog traffic, some may cost money and others may not. You may have just started your blog but boosting blog traffic can be something you think about now!

Today I’m focused on some free and easy ways to boost blog traffic so that you can make more money and enjoy the benefits of increased blog traffic.

Build a Large Following on Social Media

Don’t underestimate the power of Pinterest, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn as a relevant place to boost blog traffic. Work to build up a large following on each of these social media outlets so that you have a large audience to promote your blog traffic to the general public.

Automate Social Media Shares

Develop a social media sharing calendar with content ideas for your newest blog posts. Get a social media scheduling account with Hootsuite (free works), CoSchedule, or Buffer to try to automate your social media shares. This will save you time and help you have another easy way to boost your traffic.

Link to Your Blog

Always put a link to your blog on every profile you have online. This includes your personal Facebook profile and any social media profiles you have on the internet. This allows you to not only have an easy way to boost traffic but in some cases gets you backlinks to your blog for SEO.

Sign up for an email newsletter program. There are many free ones available such as Mailerlite and MailChimp that you can start for free while you work to build a large email list. Create a pop up sign up form on your blog and use a free opt-in gift for anyone who subscribes to your email list.

Create SEO-Friendly Content

When writing your blog content make sure that your content is search engine optimized for best organic reach. I’ve shared some tips before about how to create awesome SEO-friendly blog content. This is a great way to boost blog traffic with organic search engine traffic.

Have Social Share Buttons

Always have social share buttons on your blog posts so that readers can quickly click and share your content with their social media profiles. There are many social share button plugins that you can use on your blog to ensure you have social share buttons on every blog post.
