Today I am collaborating with the lovely Shona from freshbeautyxox – we thought it’d be a great idea to do a collaborative post and see how similar or different our opinions are. We chose our top 5 products under £5 – you can view Shona’s post here.
This is quite a quick post as I have been at Britmums Live all weekend and am really behind on everything..so please forgive me!
First of all, we have the MUA Power Pout in Justify. A snip at £3, I actually prefer these to the Revlon Just Bitten balm stains and other alternatives too. MUA haven’t really been impressing me recently (says the girl with two MUA products in her top 5) but they’re definitely onto a winner with these balm stains. Yes, every other company seems to be doing them now but they are definitely worth the tiny price tag. (link)
Next, of course, is the MUA Heaven & Earth palette. I have a few MUA eyeshadow palettes but this is definitely my most loved – and you can probably tell my favourite shade by a mile! This is one of the first things I bought from MUA and I am constantly impressed by it. At £4 and some gorgeous neutral shades, you can’t go wrong. (link)
It really irks me that the packaging has rubbed off, but we all know that this seems to happen to all of them – the Collection Lasting Perfection concealer – mine is in the shade Fair. I didn’t want to cave into the hype surrounding this product – but believe me, the hype is more than justified. £4.19 is hardly going to break the bank either. (link)
The Natural Collection pressed powder is something that Shona herself mentioned and I bought it on a whim on her recommendation. I’ve barely used it so far, I’m still trying to finish off my ELF powder – however, from what I have seen, this is super impressive and I will definitely be repurchasing. It seems incredible that such a great product is £1.99 – but it is! Mine is in the shade Cool. (link)
My final product is a bit of a cheeky one – not really a product but a tool! I did have something else ready beforehand and had taken pictures as well – but after further research, I found the price had increased to over £5 – not impressed. I couldn’t really think of another product that I really loved so I thought I’d sneakily add a tool in – this beauty blender dupe. Mine cost me just 99p from Ebay from this seller in China – prices now seem to range from 99p to £1.59 – and I love it. I don’t use it all the time but when I do, it gives me an absolutely flawless finish which makes me glad I didn’t fork out for the real thing and its hefty price tag. I’ve also found some more dupes on Amazon here

I need an MUA pallette, they have such a reputation and I still haven't bought one. £4 is great too! I might buy Undress Me Too, if I've remembered the name correctly! 🙂 x

I have on the of the MUA palettes – not this one though but the colours on the heaven and earth one look fab, just the type of colours I use! I think MUA products are great, so I shall be investing in this one! I also will now probably try the natural collection powder!
