Jack | 18 Month Update

My beautiful baby boy is now 18 months old. How did that happen? I’ve been meaning to get this post up all month – by the time this finally goes up, he’ll be nearer 19 months than 18, but ah well. Such is life. I stopped doing monthly updates for a bit because after a year, they seemed rather pointless. I did do a quick 15 month update but life just seems to be passing us by right now!

His curls are crazy – his hair seems to have grown so much since we went to Rome and my heart melts when he walks over to me with his bedhead of gorgeous little curls. He can say a few more words now – although his favourites are no and oh dear. He seems to be rapidly approaching the terrible twos quite quickly now – he has recently become quite aggressive and hits out – something we are keen to address as soon as possible. He loves nothing more than running around; unless he’s tired or upset, he will not come for a cuddle – he is far too active for that. Although when he does, they are the best cuddles in the world!

Even though I was commuting in for Britmums Live so I was seeing him in the morning and the evening, I really missed him for those two days – its no different to when I am at work really, but I truly couldn’t wait to see his cheeky little grin. He runs all over the place and is a very happy and sociable toddler – he loves other babies/toddlers and most animals too. He doesn’t like being told no, but then what child does?

I can’t believe this monster of mine is 18 months old…time to start planning his 2nd birthday party I think!
