While many business owners and employees are still sticking to remote working, many others have decided to open up their businesses again. This includes inviting their clients to their office or other types of business space. If you’re one of the employers (or employees) that now have to go back to work in the office, then you understand the importance of leaving a positive note on clients when it comes to face-to-face interaction. This is also going to assist in increasing the likelihood of them doing business with you again.
The same idea can be done with customers as well. It’s important to leave them with a positive opinion rather than letting them know that the business is unprofessional or disorganized. This can have a huge negative effect on your company’s relationship with them or any other customer or client in the future. These are a few tips for making the best impression on clients in the office.
Ensure that the staff knows how to properly greet clients
The staff members must know how to properly treat clients. So it’s best to have a meeting and possibly even training, this way they will know how to properly engage with any client. Some other types of training that can be vital for the business involve OKR implementation and grasping the ends around that. In general, all staff members need to be helpful and pleasant, even if it isn’t likely that they will have much contact with their coworkers or even clients. Everyone needs to be approachable, warm, welcoming, and helpful too.
Have a clean space
While this may be obvious, you would be surprised at how neglected can be. You must ensure that your office space is tidy and organized at all times. It’s also ideal if the outside area (if you own the space) to be nicely kept as well. It’s so important that the interior and the exterior of the office look clean and welcoming. If your office looks great then you can count on attracting more clients. First impressions matter, and sometimes that first impression can be the exterior of the office. So it’s best to look into window cleaning services, groundskeeping, and be sure that the building doesn’t look dull either.

Give a tour
Since the workspace should be nice and tidy both inside and out, giving a tour is an excellent way to make the client feel welcomed. It’s far better than taking them directly into the meeting room. This is also going to help them get a better understanding of your business, your company values, and even the company culture. Clients want to know about who they’re hiring for their work, so you must ensure that everyone is informed and that the environment feels nice and welcoming. This is going to help you maintain having a successful business.
Create a welcoming waiting room
It’s best to look into ways to create a nice and relaxing environment for your clients to wait before their appointment with you. It’s best to have some reading material out, have the wifi password displayed on the wall, also include a company brochure, case studies, or even some industry-related material. Another way to create a welcoming waiting room would be to include a beverage station such as coffee, fruit, or even some water.
