It’s that time of the year again! Father’s Day is an opportunity to show support and love to all the great dads nationwide. It doesn’t necessarily have to be your dad, either; it really can be anyone who’s filled a fatherly role in an exemplary way. If you’re struggling to remember what date Father’s Day falls on, that’s because the date changes every year! There’s a good trick to remember, though: it’s the third Sunday in June, so there’s not much time left to get a gift for the special dads out there.
It can always be a bit difficult buying presents for dads. They’ll often act like they’re not interested, or think they’ve got everything already. “I don’t need anything” is often uttered when you ask what they would like as a present. The usual Father’s Day gift lists are a bit uninspiring, too. They usually just suggest buying products that fathers might need, or that might become useful to them in the long term. They are often related to DIY, gardening, BBQ or sports and can be a bit predictable.

A different approach to gift buying is needed! Gifts that still carry the same sentiment, but that don’t sit around the house gaining sentiment (dust). Gifts that will be used, enjoyed and remembered. There’s always something you can get to make a father’s day; sometimes, you just need a little inspiration. Featuring gifts for thrill-seekers, vapers and so much more, here’s a great list of three present themes by which your gift buying can be guided!
1. The Adrenaline Junkie
Let’s start our adrenaline-themed gift ideas with a fun, interactive and competitive present: paintballing vouchers! What could be better than a day of running around a field getting muddy and shooting strangers with large balls of paint? You could go with him of course; imagine the satisfaction of shooting him in the back while he’s trying to be all macho. It certainly would be memorable.
Next up is tandem paragliding. Check out this list of all the paragliding schools in the UK, many of which offer tandem paragliding experiences. The expert pilot will control the paraglider with you, allowing you to simply relax (or maybe not) and enjoy this amazing experience. Probably not recommended for people who are scared of heights…
2. Why Not Try Something New?
Dads always seem to pretend that they have no idea how a spa day could be enjoyable, or how a pampering session might be really relaxing and make you feel great. Let’s get dads to open up to the idea of something new this Father’s Day. While only one in ten spa attendees is a man, the male grooming industry has boomed in recent years, showing us that it’s normal (and very beneficial) for men to enjoy a nice beauty treatment once in a while.
Even if it’s just something as throwaway as a bath bomb, it’s an offer to give him a bit of space and suggestion that some relaxation might be helpful. To be honest, the bath bomb really is an ultimate gift — unless they don’t have a bath. Be sure of that first!
3. From VR to Vapes: Get Dad The Latest Tech
While some dads still think it’s normal to be a complete technophobe, many more love a good bit of tech. Take, for example, this Stealth VR50 that works alongside your phone, to allow you to watch movies in a completely immersive way. Maybe the person in mind likes to vape, or needs a healthier alternative to smoking. Why not get them the Innokin Cool Fire 4? It’s one of the most modern e-cigarettes available and a device any vape enthusiast would love to own. Comfortably sized, reliable and always delivering a quality vape, the Cool Fire 4 is the crème de la crème of current models.
Hopefully this list has inspired your gift-buying mind to seek out a truly memorable present for Father’s Day this year!
