How are you all? It’s been a busy week here so Life in a Break Down and I decided to team up and offer up a cheerful prize of chocolate!

    As I am self isolating for the next 12 weeks, I will be keeping busy with my sewing and embroidery crafts!

  3. Thank you for competition. I’m sure that many people would love to win this lovely prize at this turbulent time! I will be self-isolating over the coming weeks as I have underlying health conditions. I plan to read lots of books and continue with the online volunteer work that I started at the beginning of the year. I’ll be staying in touch with people via the Internet and I’ll be giving my cats lots of extra attention! I might also look into doing an online course or two.

    As a key worker, I will still be at school, working with the children of key workers and others deemed vulnerable. We have lots of fun activities planned, as well as academic learning. It will be tough for them not being in their usual classes, with their usual friends.

    I will be making sure my 89 year old mum in law is fine. She is very fit and an inspiration to us all but she has to self isolate. We’ll keep her stocked up with healthy food and treats and we’ll make plenty of phone calls.

  37. I will be staying in and playing with my children as well as trying to tidy up and prepare for having my next baby which is due in the next few weeks. I can’t get out to the shops so hopefully I don’t need much for this next one.

    I have two children and I am working from home. My plan is, competitions from 4am to 5,30am (my partner gets up at 4am for work and i can never get back to sleep lol) work from 5.30am to 8.30am – they are my new agreed hours as I am always up early and then it doesn’t interrupt too much with the childrens lives and then setting my 12 year old his school work for a couple of hours while teaching my 5 year old from the education pack she has been given online! It’s tough but we are all in the same boat and at least we can stay safe. Stay safe! x

    We have 3 kids at home, and I am disabled. So it’s been hard – I won’t lie. But I’ve ordered printer cartridges, and I am printing out activity and worksheets for them. I have ordered some workbooks from Amazon, and they come in two weeks. I’m just trying to keep the kids, especially my two young girls, active and positive

  84. I’m due a baby in just over a week so I’m trying to spend as much time as I can with my 4 year old before his baby brother arrives, we’ve been playing a lot of colouring, lego, and playdoh. I would like to do some painting maybe outside if the weather brightens up again, maybe get the paddling pool out and let him go mad in the water. I’ve saved a few ideas for making your own creative play ideas so would be nice to try those, and also make some cupcakes/biscuits if we can get our hands on some eggs! 🙂

    Tbh it’s awful, I’ve got a 2 year old and a 3 month old and I miss my mum. I’m hoping restrictions get lifted at the 3 week point and we can go back out to enjoying the countryside and living our lives but I’m not expecting it so we shall probably be climbing the walls at home…trying to make the most of a bad situation with lots of games (10 minute ones as that’s about her attention span), baking, playing in the garden, and going out when we have daddy as back up so my little girl can walk 🙂 just hoping we flatten the curve and can go back out!!!

    However my daily exercise is a walk to the train station and back home again , much what I was doing before without the commute . This burns up the calories leaving plenty of room for delicious chocolate

    We have put our empty 2 litre plastic water bottles to good use, by creating a green wall in our hall – just attach some wood batons to the wall, halve the plastic bottles, and attach these to the batons. Fill with soil, and add flowers, herbs = just thought this would look good in a kids bedroom for nic nacs? Could even decorate the bottles?

  175. Pretty much the same as the past 33 years – I’ve M.E. so I’m used to this self isolation which is resting a lot and attempting to save energy to use until I need it.
    I’m just trying to keep my Mum out of mischief which is hard though. Last week she fell down the stairs with the vac and yesterday she put her hand between the dogs and got bitten badly! I just hope she’s not going for a hattrick!

    I will be staying at home as much as possible. I have a teenager who will be having online lessons starting again next Monday, so will need to keep an eye on her. I will be doing more baking and cooking as, not only is my teenager studying at home, I have a son working from home and a husband and another daughter both on furlough. With all these people at home, our food seems to be reducing very quickly.
