Collaborative Post
I have spoken about Canada a lot in the past – it has always been somewhere we have wanted to visit for various reasons. Everyone has those few destinations on their list that they have always wanted to travel to and see more of and Canada is one of mine.
With travelling having to take a backseat in the last year and a half, we have spent plenty of time talking about the places we want to go once everything has opened back up again. There are a few places such as Canada that have remained on our list from before but we have also added a few more destinations in too.
But why would we love to visit Canada?
Steve’s Heritage
As someone whose family come from Canada and from a few family holidays to Canada he took when he was young, he has a real sense of wanting to see where he came from. As he went as a young child, he doesn’t remember much so would love to experience what Canada has to offer him as an adult.
He is keen to check out the places his family are from and perhaps even see if there are some distant family members there too! Canada is a really family friendly destination, thanks to the variety of activities and things to do.

The Scenery
As you can see from the above image by my friend Lisa (who has kindly allowed me to use her photo), Canada is absolutely stunning. It truly is one of the most beautiful places on Earth and it is somewhere I’d like to see in person and I would love my family to see too. There are some landmarks we would love to visit too such as the Ice Caves, Niagara Falls and the CN Tower. Who wouldn’t want to see those in person?
Participate In Outdoor Activities
Canada is a great place to participate in outdoor activities. One of our friends actually moved out there and is always showing photos and videos of him out on the ski slopes! As well as the obvious skiing, snowboarding, fishing, hiking and climbing are all pretty popular out there and we’d love to give some of them a go.
Steve, being an avid golfer, would also like to check out some of the golf courses in Canada too – it’s his dream to play at least one of them!
It’s Affordable
Many people think that Canada is going to be an expensive holiday choice due to it’s proximity to the United States but it is actually quite an affordable vacation choice. You can usually get a good deal on flights there and the prices tend to be quite reasonable whilst there too. I am always looking for a good deal so this sounds like music to my ears!
The French Heritage
Whilst Steve hasn’t got French Canadian heritage, we would love to check out the French culture that remains in the country. Places like Quebec remain very French in feel and have plenty of history and heritage for tourists to check out.
