I have been going on caravan holidays in the UK for as long as I can remember. I have been all up and down the UK and I have gone with various family members as well as friends! There is just something so special about caravan holidays in the UK and I love going on them!
We have actually got one booked for the summer holidays and I can’t wait, not long to go now! Jack has been on a few caravan holidays in his time but Olivia hasn’t been on many and she really enjoyed the last one so she is super excited about our next one! I am actually hoping for some cheap caravan holidays in Cornwall in the not too distant future too!
Here’s why I am a big fan of taking caravan holidays in the UK:
They’re Affordable
Whilst caravan holidays have crept up in price in recent years, there is no denying that they are much more affordable than other holidays! We rarely go abroad just because of how much it actually costs!
A decent caravan holiday for a whole family usually comes in at well under the cost for even a cheap holiday abroad so if you are looking for an affordable holiday option, this could be the perfect choice!
They’re Fun
When it comes to caravan sites, there is always plenty to do! As well as offering plenty of green space, many caravan sites have swimming pools, activity clubs, play equipment and so much more! There is always something to do and there is always plenty of daytime and evening entertainment so if you’re ever at a loose end, you can find something for you! Olivia, for instance, did a zipwire activity course last holiday!
Some Great Views
You’d be forgiven for thinking that the UK doesn’t have many great views to take in but that is so not true. Many caravan holidays are located in some wonderful places and offer some fantastic views across luscious countryside or the wide open sea.
Not too long ago I stayed somewhere where you could see right across the sea and it was absolutely beautiful! There truly are some spectacular views out there and many can be seen from a caravan site!
They Provide Us With Many Memories
I have so many happy memories from my childhood and my teenage years from my caravan holidays – simple things such as joining the evening entertainment talent show when I was seven to Steve winning the darts competition back in 2010 and winning us a holiday for us for the 2011 season! There are so many happy memories to be made at a caravan site.
These are just a few of my reasons why I love caravan holidays in the UK with my family. I am so pleased to see that they are gaining a resurgence as many people are avoiding going abroad and choosing to stay on home turf instead! We can’t wait for our next one and we are already talking about where we would like to go next!
