It seems crazy that my little boy is now 20 months old (yes, 4 months today until the big 2!). I’ve recently revamped some aspects of his room but the one thing that has remained so far is his cot. Talking amongst friends and other bloggers, it seems 2 is the average age for their children to be moved into their very own ‘big boy’ or ‘big girl’ bed.
I’m not sure if Jack is totally ready as of yet but with plans on the horizon to perhaps add to our family in the not too distant future, this has to remain an option. His cot itself does turn into a bed, however if we do find ourselves pregnant we will obviously be on the lookout for a new bed for Jack as we will need the cot for the new arrival. Jack had great fun testing out the single beds at John Lewis the other week and had his heart set on the one above, as you can see. He looks so comfortable, doesn’t he? Whilst I’m keen to limit expenses where possible, a new bed for Jack will have to be bought eventually – it isn’t exactly something I can ignore!
What age did you move your child into their very own bed?
