What Jewellery Means To Me Featuring Daisy London

I was sent a couple of Daisy London pieces to aid with creation of this post.

Jewellery has a lot of meaning to me. Whilst I only wear one piece every single day (my engagement ring), I do have a few special pieces that I pull out on special occasions.

My locket that my Dad bought me as a child that is even more important to me now he is no longer here; my necklace gifted to me by my Nan when she died; my brooch that my Dad bought for me in Camden; my jewellery with important dates on such as the birth of my children. All of these have deep meanings to me.

Jewellery, to me, is something special, something sentimental almost. I do have some costume pieces and some other nice pieces but the pieces I always go back to are the pieces of jewellery that mean so much to me; that tell a story or bring back memories of times I would love to go back to. The trip to Camden with my Dad was one of my favourite days ever and wearing that brooch always makes me think of him and that day.

Daisy London Jewellery have a whole range of jewellery, including gorgeous bracelets – each which I feel tell a story and will have their own meaning to each person that owns them. I picked two pieces to aid with creation of this post and wanted to tell you a little more about why I chose them – as there’s always a deeper meaning behind me choosing jewellery!

I chose the Estée Lalonde Luna Charm Necklace because of the moon and stars. Not only is it a beautiful necklace but it reminds me of my children in two ways. One – them and Steve are space obsessed and can be found looking into the night sky most nights. They all get so excited when they see a cosmic event! The second reason is because when Olivia was little, she used to love to stay at ‘the moon and stars’. We were spending a lot of time travelling around the UK, visiting different cities. We’d stay in Premier Inns but she never called them that and to this day, we still call their hotels ‘the moon and stars’. Unique memories to us.

I chose the Beloved Green Onyx Baguette Bracelet because I don’t own many bracelets – usually because typing on a keyboard all day and bracelets don’t really mix. However I really wanted a pretty one I could wear on other occasions and this beautiful bracelet represents togetherness which is what I am all about. As you can see, my family means everything to me.

I’m very impressed by the pieces – they are stunning, sturdy and good quality and I love the little D disc by the clasps, showing the brand they are from. The jewellery from the company is absolutely breathtaking and is a great addition to my small collection.

Jewellery is something that should evoke memories, inspire your dreams and ultimately mean something, I believe. All my most special pieces have a really special meaning to me and these are no different.
