What I’ve Been Reading | Jan-Jul

Taking inspiration from Elle, this post has been in my drafts for a while. I did start a series Bex On Books but I hit a major reading slump so didn’t have anything to post about for a while! I have, however, been reading lots recently and thought I’d write a post to show what I’ve been reading!

Mystic City by Theo Lawrence (reviewed here) – Wake by Amanda Hocking (reviewed here) – Lullaby by Amanda Hocking (reviewed here)

*

The Farm by Emily McKay (reviewed here) – And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie – One Day by David Nicholls

*

Unremembered by Jessica Brody (reviewed here) – Throne Of Glass by Sarah J Maas (reviewed here) – Brightest Kind Of Darkness by P.T. Michelle (reviewed here)

As you can see from this pile, I actually guest reviewed over on Lesley’s blog My Keeper Shelf for most of them and there is a lot of YA. The stand out books in this pile for me are Wake, Unremembered and Brightest Kind Of Darkness, the latter being one of my favourite books that I have read this year!

The Blake Mistake by I C Camilleri – Jayne Doe no author – Still Life With Murder by P B Ryan

*

Ethan by P.T. Michelle – Child Of The Ghosts by Jonathan Moeller – Wander Dust by Michelle Warren

*

The Silver Chain by Primula Bond – Transcendence by CJ Omololu (review coming soon on MKS) – Linked by Judy Serrano (review up today at Hanging On Every Word)

Now we’ve caught up with my most recent reads. As you can see, I absolutely love P.T. Michelle’s books and the lady is so lovely too, always replying on Twitter! The Blake Mistake is the second book by I C Camilleri that I’ve read; I totally recommend this novel and The Blake Curse! I also decided to start reading some of my Kindle freebies and was pleasantly surprised with some of the offerings, especially Wander Dust which I was completely enamoured with!

The Silver Chain was an automatic NetGalley approval for me and was an enjoyable read but I’d have to say my standout novel of these has to be Transcendence which I only finished a few days ago…wow, just wow!

What have you been reading lately?

Add me on Goodreads here.

  2. Wow you have been reading a lot! And Then There Were None is one of my all-time favourite books, I think I'm about due to re-read it 🙂
