Another two weeks to get you up to date on this week. Wow, have we been going through the wars recently? All three of us have come down with bugs at separate times which has caused absolute chaos as I have been looking after the patients (Steve and Jack) before succumbing myself. The past month or so, we all seem to be catching every bug that is going round at the moment and succumbing to them one by one.
But how has that been affecting my weight loss?
Well I will be quite honest and say that I have really struggled to stay on plan when everyone is ill. When Steve or Jack was ill, I was constantly having to run about after them and the last thing I wanted to do was spend time slaving away in the kitchen to make a meal. I tended to opt for convenience and then once both of them were better, I came down with it and if I wanted to eat (which most of the time I didn’t), I wanted something stodgy and not so healthy. I wasn’t looking forward to stepping on the scales last week or this week, both weeks had been awful for staying on plan and being poorly… however I think being ill may have worked in my favour as:
Whilst I am happy with these results, it is bittersweet. I know in my heart of hearts I haven’t really been on plan and I also know that being poorly is probably what caused these losses. However, they are still losses after all and I am now at my lowest weight that I have been at Slimming World since I began. I had a nightmare couple of months over the past month or two with me stuck around a certain weight and fluctuating up and then down slightly, maintaining then going even further up and putting on tons again. I finally seem to be going in the right direction and I am so happy that I now weight almost a stone and a half less than what I did when I joined.
Yes, there are plenty of people in my group that have lost tons more than me but with everything that has gone on over the past nine months, I am chuffed with what I have achieved and hope to carry on.
