Its time again for me to document my weight loss (if there is any!) and tell you how I got on during this past week. I’ve been really struggling recently. Even though Jack has been off school and we have been doing fun things, I haven’t been able to do as much exercise as I would normally do and unfortunately with Jack being off, I haven’t always been making the best possible choices.
After a 1lb gain the first Monday Jack was off and then a loss of that 1lb last Monday, I was hoping for a maintain or a loss this week but that was perhaps a little too hopeful. I had tried to be good and did get a bit more exercise in than I had the week before but still nowhere near normal. I stepped on the scales and was relieved to see a maintain.
I’ve been using the FitBit lots over the past week and was interested to see that I’ve nearly hit the 10,000 step goal already today just from dropping Jack off at school and picking him up! I haven’t managed to hit 10,000 at all during the Easter holidays despite having busy days so I am hoping with some really good eating and lots of walking I will see a big difference this week.
I’ve even grabbed a food diary from my consultant to keep track of what I’m eating. So far, so good! Here’s hoping for a loss next week!

Well done for maintaining, hopefully you’ll be in more of a routine now Jack is back at school x
Yay well done you 🙂 you did what you set out to and that is good 🙂 x
Well done on maintaining, hopefully now that Jack is back at school you can get back into your routine and start losing. I have hit a brick wall in my weight loss now, it just isn’t budging at all 🙁 xx
Congrats Hun. I am glad to see it going well.
Maintaining can be just as difficult as losing. I’m glad you’re still motivated to continue this journey.
Maintaining isn’t easy, but isn’t the FitBit really helpful with tracking activity? It’s not easy when the kids are on school holidays, that’s for sure. They don’t want to go on five mile walks for some reason… lol!
Maintaining is so hard, more so than you realise for sure x
I had the same problem over Easter struggling to get 10,000 steps. Glad the kids are at school as I can do more teps now. Keep it up.
That is really good for you!!! Maintaining the weight is where it becomes so incredibly hard, so you’re doing really well. 🙂
I would like to get a FitBit too. I’ve tried to pick one already but I can’t make my mind in regards to ideal model which would suit me best 🙁
Yay at least you maintained, hopefully now Jack is at school it will give you more time and space to exercise. Well done for doing over 10 K steps.
Well done for maintaining. Its crazy how much we actually do on a daily basis without realising it.
I too would like to get a fit bit I ma researching which to get can you recommend a model???
i actually want a fitbit myself. ive been wanting it for quite some time now but not sure which one to get
10,000 steps can be so difficult to achieve some days! I only managed it easily when I had a job where I was on my feet all day, since then… not so much! I hear that a fitbits are really good for helping you track that sort of thing and be more aware of it. It’s great that the school run nearly covers the target for you 🙂 x
It’s good that you have a professional guidance with your weight goals! Hope you will soon achieve it. Maintaining weight is a hard job as well! I salute you. 😉
