Weight Loss Diary #17

After last week was total and utter chaos and a total fail on the healthy eating front, I am back this week (albeit a little late) with my latest weight loss diary. I must admit I still wasn’t as good last week as I could have been and I also went out on Saturday evening but I was a lot better than the week before.

Saturday night had a lot of food and drink consumed – chicken korma, lamb pasanda and chicken tikka shared between four of us plus poppadoms, pilau rice and birthday cake – plus a couple of glasses of wine, a few vodka and diet cokes, a double shot of sambuca, a Smirnoff Ice and a Malibu & diet coke.. I wasn’t hopeful for weigh in on Monday. I had tried to be good in the days leading up to it but I wasn’t entirely back on plan, I have to admit.

So how did I do?

That’s right! Somehow I managed to lose that half a pound that I put on last week and I got back to my stone! I wasn’t expecting it and it really motivated me for this week. I’ve mostly stayed on plan this week despite feeling really rough – going to bed instead of eating crap seems to work – and I have been batch cooking like crazy. Steve has also been batch cooking and with him going on nights shortly, its great to know that Steve can take something he’s made previously from the freezer  that he knows the ingredients of rather than him picking something up from the cafeteria at work or ordering a takeaway with his workmates. Same for me. I’ve currently got a few tubs of chicken pasanda in the freezer that I will be eating over the next few nights and I will also be batch cooking a few other things over the weekend.

Body magic wise, I’m flying. I had a very exciting PR email earlier that would really help me see some improvement in my Body Magic, I am up to my Silver award now, I’ve played squash this week and I’ve also got my Sport Relief walk/run on Sunday (really low on donations at the minute – would love a donation, no matter how small – you can sponsor my team here).

I am so motivated for this week and for the weeks beyond. Here’s hoping this shows on the scales next week!

  1. Well done for getting back to the stone! It’s funny how it works isn’t it. A colleague of mine is doing slimming world. She fell off the wagon and had a really boozy night…. ended up losing 2 lbs!

  2. Go on girl! You can do it!
It’s so motivating when you hit the stone mark x

  3. Well done, you are entitled to a night off once in a while, and if you are on plan the rest of the time, it doesn’t really do too much damage x

  4. Well done you! You must be so proud! I am so jealous, I am struggling like mad at the moment.

Good luck with your Sport Relief walk / run on Sunday!! Such a worthy cause and a great challenge to take on 🙂 x

  6. How exciting! It sounds like you’re super motivated. I hope the walk is a lot of fun!

  7. Well done. People don’t realise how hard it is to stick to a weight loss plan but don’t beat yourself up for having 1 night off. It does you good to treat yourself.

  8. Well done, it really shows that you can have the odd night out and do what you want and still lose weight x

  9. Well done hun! I need to lose a bit of weight, but just finding it hard to get motivated

  10. I hope you reach your target hun! Well done for still managing to lose weight and it just goes to show you can treat yourself once in a while!

  11. Well done! Losing weight can be such a battle but having the odd night out isn’t going to make a huge difference. It is better to do it occasionally otherwise if you deprive yourself completely then you will never be able to stick to it.

  12. Well done you for getting back on plan. Its hard when you’ve got a lot going on xxx
