Weight Loss Diary #10

Tuesday always means another weight loss diary where I tell you if I have lost (yay!), maintained  (*shrug*) or put on (noooo!). This week I was really dreading weigh in as I just felt so blah about everything. It seems most of the group had a blah week too, we all seemed down and lacked motivation but this has completely changed as we start our new week this week.

Until weigh in yesterday, my weight loss stood at 10.5lbs and I am really striving for that last 3.5lbs to get my stone. Unfortunately this week wasn’t to be my week and that 3.5lbs loss was not to be mine. This week I maintained which I am actually really happy about. Jack was poorly for the second half of last week which meant I couldn’t leave the house unless someone else was there. Since Steve and my Mum were both at work as were all my friends, I was stuck in the house for three days and unable to get anyone to grab me anything from the shop until much later when Steve finished work.

I tried to make good choices but once the good choices run out…well…I needed to eat! I tried to stick with tins of spaghetti hoops (syn free) or stuff like that for lunch but I did find myself snacking more as I couldn’t get out. This also meant my regular walking went out the window and whilst I still did my exercise bike stuff to ensure I still got my 45 minutes a week towards my bronze Body Magic award, I could definitely tell that it was having an affect.

This week I have set a mini target of a 1lb weight loss but I am totally unsure that I will get it. It is my birthday on Friday and whilst I aim to make sensible choices as much as possible, I am not going to deprive myself on my birthday. I plan to use flexible syns but will also be trying to save up a few from other days just to ensure I have them if I need them. I’ve worked out how many vodkas I can have in my syn allowance so all should be good.

Whilst it hasn’t been a good week for weight loss, I am actually not that disappointed as I knew it was coming and these circumstances can’t be helped. Now Jack is better and I can get out of the house again, I can get back to my exercise and make better eating choices as I am not so restricted. That 3.5lbs weight loss is in my sight…I’m going to grab it with both hands!

  5. I have never had to lose weight but I do have the other problem with food – I can’t eat – I understand the frustration and not being happy with your body so all I can say is well done you and keep going and I have every faith in you

  6. Happy Birthday! I’m starting a diet this week, I’m petrified. My weakness is milkshakes and milky drinks, I just can’t keep away! Ice cream is my downfall too. Good luck with you diet and I hope you have a wonderful birthday weekend.

  7. There’s nothing wrong with a few tins of spaghetti hoops! It’s a great go-to meal, I do tend to have it on toast though… I really need to up my cooking game 🙂 x

  8. It’s so hard when routine changes. I find it easy when I’m at work, but at home it’s a nightmare and I have to allow for eating higher carb meals unless I’m going to eat differently to the rest of the family. Good luck with the remaining weight loss.

  15. Maintaining is, at least, not gaining! I didn’t lose this week either despite all my calorie counting and exercise, but I did lose 1/2 inch off my waist and another 1/2 inch off one thigh. It’s not easy, is it. Here’s to next week!
