Even though we are no closer to setting a date, something myself & Steve have been really discussing at length recently is the people who are going to be a huge part of our special day. I haven’t fully decided on my bridesmaids yet, I did ask two of Steve’s cousins when we first got engaged, and will probably have a few more but I’m pretty certain who my MOH is going to be…. ^ that girl on the right just there.
We have been friends ALL of our lives – our mums used to go shopping in town when we were tiny & there is just a few months between us. Chelle was always the year above me though as she is born in August and I’m January. We’ve worked together for 3 years too and she really makes my days better.
When it comes to bridal parties, I do think I will encounter some problems. A few of my friends have stated how much they want to be bridesmaids and that, but unfortunately, I can’t have everyone. Add in to that the fact that nearly all of my female friends have completely different fashion tastes – you can imagine how hard getting them to decide on dresses will be!
Steve is still no closer to choosing who will be his best man. He is pretty sure it will be one of his best friends but I don’t think he is completely set on it – I’m sure he’d love his brother but as he lives in Tenerife, they aren’t as close as they used to be.
How quickly did you choose the main people who will share your special day? Did you struggle with who to pick?
I'm having my 2 girls, my sister & my niece for bridesmaids & my nephew as a page boy, then my brother, brother in law and elder nephew (11) as ushers 🙂 My daughters are also going to walk me down the aisle one at either side and then give me away, my dad is a vicar so will marry me 🙂 my sister will sign for me though as the MOH

I didn't struggle to pick as I chose my best friend and my hubby chose his. unfortunately his best friend didn't turn up so my brother was his stand in best man

For my bridesmaids, it's going to be one cousin and three of my closest friends. We will have closest friends and family for the secondary sponsors. It wasn't really that tough to choose, the most difficult part i guess is picking the guests for the wedding since we want to have a small and intimate party. Actually, we're still working out with the list.
