Victoria&K Argan Oil

I mentioned the other day that my haircare routine used to be very simple, I didn’t do much at all. One thing I kept trying but never stuck to was using argan oil…shocking, I know! I tried and loved Moroccan Oil but recently, working from home and not going out much meant throwing my hair back in a ponytail and getting work done in the time it would take me to do my haircare routine.

I was recently sent the Victoria&K Pure Organic Argan Oil to test out. I used it a couple of times and then got my argan obsessed friend to try it out to give you the rundown too – after all, best to get all the perspectives – one from a regular user and one from an irregular user.

First things first, the packaging and size. For £14.95, I wasn’t expecting wonders in aesthetics or size but I have to say I was quite impressed. The outer packaging is pretty standard – black box with white text and some gold detail. The bottle itself is very aesthetically pleasing. Clear with silver and the plain black text on a simple sticker which could be removed if required.

The argan oil is a golden colour, as expected. So how did I find it?

I don’t really use argan oil on my skin like some people do so cannot claim to know what it is like for skincare. For my hair, however, I found that this definitely made a subtle difference to my hair. My hair has been looking awful for ages but after a good cut and some decent care using this after washes, my hair seems a little more healthier and has a bit more shine than normal. Does it compare to Moroccan oil for me? It isn’t perfect but it certainly isn’t bad – and is much more affordable than the aforementioned Moroccan Oil.

How about my friend who tries different oils regularly in her haircare routine? She hasn’t found it to be as good as others she uses. She has been using it to brush her hair after washing and doesn’t notice much difference but her hair looks really healthy when her hair has dried.

This is really interesting because I, the irregular argan oil user, see more of a difference. If you are just starting to use argan oil, this may be the one for you. However, if you already use alternatives of a similar price range, it may be worth sticking to them.
